Ive heard that taking your budgies cage away is a good way of trying to tame them? Chalky use to come out of her cage and land on our shelf or on the chair, now she does neither, she just goes straight back to her cage after a fly. If im infront of her cage and she cant get into it she just keeps flying round and round!then when she gets in she is totally out of breath! So i dont know if it would be a good idea to take away her cage?? sorry about the ramble but does anyone have any ideas? :feedback:

well she knew it was behind you so she was waiting to go in you should put the cage in another room or cover it with something.
You are lucky, Billy and Lily never want to go in their cage after a flight.

Petri never goes back to her cage after flying, she always goes to perch on the ledge above the front door, or to my arm ^^ or to my baby brother's head.

Oh dear! Well i took the cage out of site when she just came out for a fly and and she just did the same as before! She just kept flying round and round then when she eventually landed on a shelf i thought she was going to have a heart attack right infront of me as she was so out of breath!! I put the cage back and she instantly went back in and its taken her about 15 mins to calm down again! Not good :(
Oh dear! Sounds like a familiar story...

my budgie doesnt come out of the cage lol! I think its because her wings are clipped.
He should, he needs exercise or he will be unfit.

when i let Lizzie out of her cage, she flies around my room a few times and lands back on top of her cgae, i didnt know that you can have better trainging when taking the cgae away, i will have to try that...........sometimes tho, when she is flying around my room , she will fly right back into her cage door, its funny.
