Same here. I put some broccoli in Kiki's cage tonight as well. first i tied it on the side, then put it in the seed cup, and now it is hanging from the top (like her toys). She wants nothing to do with it. ;)
I put a small bit of parsley in her seed cup and she was lookin at it from her perch and I saw her jump down there and lean in to eat something but then she immediately jumped back to the perch as if she were thinking "that was NOT my pellets!" lol
Lol. I was holding the broccoli like I do with millet. (s)he stuck hisbeak on it, and put his tongue out. He backed away immediatly. He hasnt went near it since. I attached it to the side of the cage. Maybe he will taste it tomorrow when im at school. lol :D Picky eaters. Oooh maybe if I eat some infront of him, he will realize that its food, and non-toxic! Oooh yes im gonna try that! (lmao)
You could also try a smaller piece. :)

Yea it has to be there awhile before it will try it just like a new toy!
Or chop it up into small pieces and mix it in with his food.

I always thought that you want to remove fresh veggies after only a few hours...
you can leave broccoli there overnight?
Only if you change it in the morning, I suppose.
No, you shouldn't leave any fresh food in there that long, it'll go off and soggy. :p Katie's right, you should take it out after a few hours. :)
Yeah I did take it out, it didnt look to good lol. Anyways he never did try it. Maybe i'll give him another peice tomorrow!
