Well, I put them together yesterday, and let me say, things are going perfect!
I barely had a chance to open the cage door before Luna flew into Rowan's cage. It was a bit awkward switching things around but then everything was great. Non-preening, singing, etc. Rowan was never like this with Simon, (but then again, Simon was a boy) so I'm taking this as a really good sign and am excited. Maybe I will end up having a clutch next year! :love2: :fingerx:

I will try to put up a video as soon as I can. All computers are out of commission at the moment :smash: :giggle:

No, you're not seeing double!
I had this thread moved to training journals to reduce my clutter around here :giggle: and so now you can come here to get your fill of my fids.... Try saying that 10 times fast. Ick.
Anyways! Things have been going good, except for this morning, but I'll get back to that in a minute. I have decided to get them used to the big, scary Hand. I crush up their food and hold it in my hand, and because Rowan is such a good boy, and got used to being toweled twice a day  do to his little Field Trip, and because Luna is such a follower :giggle: I had them both eating out of my hands, literally. I'll get a video up soon.
Anyway, back to this morning.
I woke up with a scared. I moved the birds up into my room because we're cleaning for a family reunion/ grandma's 80th birthday, and when I uncovered the cage, Luna had what looked like blood on her beak, and Rowan, maybe some sore of some kind...Scared me. I'm going to keep an eye on them to see if i have to separate. Don't want to do that though... Might it just be from moving environments...? I've never seen them fight, except over food on my hand, and if that happens I just put both hands in the cage.

Ewww - that doesn't sound good at all.
How did things go as the day progressed?
Any more signs of trauma or is everyone OK and happy now?

Oh god!! Why can't I find a nice thread these days! First I'm looking at a shipping of budgies gone wrong somehow!! Then a bald budgie!! And now budgies that are fighting and end up with blood and sores!! Ugh!

Well things have calmed down. And there's no sign of fighting anymore. Both are pretty relaxed and preening each other. So everyone's pretty good down here. O.o I think my sister is here. Ti e to go give the dog a bath... How exciting!
