Got bored and decided to teach Sam a trick.

If I put her swing in from of her, she steps into it. AANNDDD ! If she runs into the shower and chirps if she wants a shower. She also follows me around. :)

So she is stepping up onto the swing now? Does she do this for a reward, or just because she is a good girl? :)
Do you have any other tricks you are thinking of teaching her at some point? :)

I want to teach her to wave. Like, when I put my finger near her foot, she'd put her foot up. :D

Sam has developed a habit of climbing blinds/curtains.
I turn my back for 2 seconds and there she is, halfway up the curtains.

I'm still trying to teach her to wave.
When I put my finger in front of her, she steps up with both feet. Not one. And then she looks at me like : "Am I doing this right?"

Ok. Today she has finally gotten the hang of wave. She only does it when she feels like it though.

She still would not quit climbing the curtains. ARGH! I was reading a book and I look up to see Sam halfway up the curtain. Gah.

I've had Sam since the 12th December-Yes, I've been counting. I'm like that, lol.

Today, she had developed her climbing skills. So, I thought, why not teach her to climb ladders on command? She now will fly from ME to the LADDER (blinds). Smart little girl. :) She can't do it on command yet, just when she feels like it.

Does she have any treats she goes mad for (millet maybe)? I wonder if you could encourage her to perform her tricks more reliably if you had some bribery ;)

Long awaited update!! Sam has mastered the art of ladder-climbing. When I climb, she flies to the ladder and climbs. :D Smart little thing. She'll only do it for me though, when my dad tried, she just looked at him like "whaaaaa?"

I'll try for a video; and my dad doesn't like her on the curtains because roller blind thingys because they're wooden and she chews on them.

Sam was in the middle of a training session when she saw my dad take her sprouts away; she flew away so fast and landed on my dad's shoulder and bit him.

Sam only yawns for me...
She preening on the floor today; my dad thought she was sleeping so he decided to take to her; bad choice, she bit him on the nose.

Today my cousin came over after school. We were eating rice; one of Sam's favourite foods. She flew to my cousin and tried to eat her rice. She didn't know that it was her favourite food so she moved her bowl away. Sam bit her and flew INTO the bowl.

Anyway, today I'm still training her to yawn. She's coming along nicely.

New month, new tricks!

I've been teaching her to flip upside down on command. She goes upside down in her cage all of the time but never on command.
