Well lately my sister and I have been showering Yoshi with attention. any who. Today Yoshi was enjoying his throughly head scratch/ preening session i give him when he be in the mood. well usually for the heck of it i put my hair or eyelash in front of him to see what he'll do. today i did that and guess what he did!:eek::D
He gave me a pleasant surprise of returning the favor. :)
he nibbled my face and nose. then he tried to preen my eyelash and hair. :p :) I am so excited.
and better yet! Usually when i take him downstairs with me he'll sit on my shoulder until he sees our dinning room table. then flies right to the chairs. and plays on them:rolleyes:. well today after the head scratch. ( we were in the living room. and he never sits on my shoulder in there and flies to the dining room table.) he sat on my shoulder and sang into my ear for a good 15 20 mins!:D.
I am SO happy with his progress. I still have not a good idea of other ways I can progress in our bonding. the only thing i can come up with for bonding is our preening/scratching sessions I almost give Yoshi daily. with that he trusts me enough to get a loose feather off for him. ( i only pick the ones that are about to just fall with one movements. and the only ones i can see cause his loose feathers never show unless ready to be pulled of. so i just lightly slide the feather down and poof! it's out.!)
I just Really;;y had to share the news! and another one! I was able to walk into the kitchen ( the dining room right on front the kitchen. you can see it from the kitchen. and the chairs. :p you pass the dining room when going to the kitchen) and have Yoshi sitting on my shoulder the whole time! then i was even able to do some cleaning. ( i do green cleaning around Yoshi. so i used lemons and slat for cleaning today. but i didn't do the dishes. I was scared the soap might affect him some how. :rolleyes:) the whole time Yoshi on my shoulder. this is VERY rare! comes once a blue moon type rare. :p
I am so happy with our progress. he was praised with plenty of millet when we made our last stop for the night, our room. :p
he is currently sitting in his cage. singing to the music or his mirror.:cool: cannot think of witch maybe both. :p and is getting ready to go to bed with in the next hour or so. :p
I just really wanted to share with you guys. :D yay Yoshi!
( hint. we are also trying to teach him to talk. he might pick up on the talking he may not. we just talk to him with the same phrases and whistles. just to see if he might pick up within some time :p I don't really mind if never talks. but just for the fin of it. :) we like to say hi pretty boiy! watch doin?! who's a pretty boi! or we say Yoshi's name like a high pitch yossshhhhiiiii!!!!!! he likes us to talk so we do. :p)
