We're holding our first contest now. The contest is to see who can refer the most active members to the site. We're new and we need a boost in activity to get us off the ground, so I thought this would be a great way to get some new members to the site. The contest will officially begin on Februrary 21, 2006. It will end March 7, 2006. That gives you three weeks to refer as many people as possible to the site. Also keep in mind that the members you refer should be active members, not just registering and never showing up again.
The winner will have a neat little medal placed on their posts. Yeah, it's nothing much, but you'll be doing a good deed by helping us out!
To be sure you get credit for your referrals, give everyone your personal referal link:

Replace YOURUSERNUMBER, with your user id, which can be found by viewing your profile. Look at the address bar of your browser, the number at the end is your user id. (For me, my profile page ends in member.php?u=1, so my user id is 1.)
