So I went to a new pet store near me and they have teils in!! I was showing my mummy and she said that once Freya is out of the other cage she will buy me one!! Hell Yes!!! Im so excited.
So I wanted to ask how different are teils to look after than budgies? Is there anything specific they need?? Do they eat different food? Any other advice gladly accepted!!

Congrats!
One thing I've noticed, tiels go out of stock fast. You should see if you can put a deposit on him/her for the store to hold the tiel for you.
They require about the same attention as a single budgie would. They need more space, and are generally louder than budgies. ;)
They, like budgies, need a good variety of fruits and vegetables in their diet. They have different seed mixes for Cockatiels. :)

First off, Congrats on the hopefully to get new tiel! :D
I say cockatiels are the same as caring for budgies.
They only thing that is different is the cage size and a specific diet that's different
from that of a budgie.
Cockatiels also show more affection than budgies, but I not in my opinion.
I think all around it's the same.

I love my tiel he is so affectionate. He is more affectionate than my bugies. But I love them all the same.
You will love having a cockatiel.

I asked the guy in the store about the stock because they had 4 hand-reared tiels at £70 (around $140) and 5 non hand-reared at £24.99 (around $50). I asked if I could hold one and he said as soon as some are sold they get more in. I guess because there aren't that many places that sell them here. One of our major chain stores just stopped selling budgies all together so now I have to go like 8 miles just to get one! Except that now I found this store! They did have a gorgeous yellow faced turquoise hen in today as well (budgie!)
When I got Freya for my hubby the cage I got for her quarantine is one big enough for a tiel - don't worry it will be THROUGHLY cleaned before any new bird goes in it!
Are tiels the same way budgies would be from the aspect of hen being more bitey and cock being more friendly or is that just budgies?? Seriously I wanted to take ALL the birds (they had 5 budgies, the 1 turquoise and 4 pieds) home with me right then!!

Behavior in a cockatiels, I don't see it being different for male and females. Female cockatiels can be a bit standoffish, but as easily as affectionate as male tiel. Male teils are more out there being that they are vocal, clownish and affectionate Which ever gender you get I'm sure it'll be a great companion.

Budgies here are £12-£15 (around $24-$30) so tiels arent that much more at £24.99 (around $50)

The teils in the petstores around my house are like 130.00 US dollors so i went to a breeder and go a lutino for 85.00. I'm very happy with him he is so cool. the breeder was really nice to and i still write her emails to ask questions.

Around Where I Live Teils Are $150-$175 and Budgies are $20. I can afford Budgies, and I have the money for a teil, but my parents limit my spending on pets as they know I'd go broke if I was let loose in a pet store.

So budgies are cheaper there and tiels are more expensive! Crazy isnt it!! Although one thing we dont have here is any sort of adoption/rescue of birds that I know of. There are a lot of websites for the US for those sorts of things.
