Okay, there's this park near where I live, and it's got a huge duckpond, and every year, when the pond freezes over, the ducks come to a little creek near my house, cause they're so used to people feeding them.

I <3 duckies... I guess I just have a weakness for birdies.

I just have to go feed them every day, and there's hundreds of them. They only get fed regularily by the guy who lives next to the creek. He said that for the past 15 years he's spent 100$ a year on cracked wheat that he puts out for them in the morning. They've been here for so many years that this group doesn't know how to fly south anymore, so I don't think there's any harm in feeding them. They're very tame, they'll take it right out of your hand... which after like.. 50 times can hurt the fingers.

That's good to see that someone cares for them.
I was going to ask, like why didn't they fly south for he winter. :p

As well as this guy who feeds them, a lot of people come every day with bread crumbs, and crackers, and lots of stuff. Usually their little crops are so full that they just waddle around. I feel bad for them on the colder days, cause of their poor little feet... I want to take them all into my house to make them warm. ><

I'm like that with the stray cats in my yard, they come to my mom's bedroom window and sit there getting the warm air. I feel so bad for them to be outside, but I know they get fed by a man and go into some basements that are opened for them.

A little off topic. But my goodness. You have so many birds. I wish I could have that many birds. And they're all very pretty. How do you keep track? I have to count mine every night before I go to bed, just to make sure they're all there. I'm so jealous right now :P

Thanks. :D
When I put them back in their cage from play/fly time I do a head count. :p
I find very easy to keep track of everyone, My faimly often tell me if I even remember everyones names.

I have trouble remember names. I'd never be able to do it, and some of them look similar to me. But then again, I got little twin sisters, and everyone says the look exactly the same, but they look totally different to me. I'm sure your birdies look completely unique to you.

I'm a twin and I hear it often, oh your identical twins and I have to explain to them that even if I have a twin brother I'm not necessarily going to be identical. If someone or something was to be exactly identical I would still be able to find some kind of difference.

I think Emerson is really beautiful. I love the patterns.

And you're a twin? My lil sisters are fraternal, but everyone think they're identical.

Thanks, Emerson think so too. :p
I'm fraternal, and eveyone in school insist that we are identical.

Gizmo's really beautiful too. When my boyfriend comes over, he always says, "When you're moving in with me, do you want to bring ALL of your pets?" with a kind of scared voice. He's graduating this year, and moving out, and I've got a million pets, besides budgies. The only thing I don't have in this house is cats or dogs because my dad is allergic to them.
