Oh my gosh, after a week of trying to give my budgies broccoli, yestreday I chopped up some broccoli, carrots & lettuce up and put about a Tablespoon full in their treat cup and then sprinkled some millet over top of it. They ate the millet...and then wouldn't eat the veggies, then about a half a hour later, I was about to take out the veggies, and I walked up to the cage and they were eating it like crazy!! So I left it in there, last night my husband said they were "tearin' it up" They finished the whole thing!!!

YEAH!!!!!!! I have a sucess to my belt!!

The exact same thing happened at our house today!!!! I was so inspired by the pictures Bea had posted about Eating Up the Vegies. that I just had to give it another try. I did exactly what you did but using Chinese Broccoli (which my family actually enjoyed for the first time this week as well) and covering up some millet. They first dessimated the millet and about an hour later tore up all the broccoli. How exciting!

YAY!!! Good birdies!! Good idea about the millet on top. Mine tore apart carrot first time the other day but I don't know if they actually ate it. Congrats on progress!

Well, I guess I will use your way and give my Luke a try. So far he wouldn't even go near anything that is new to him, left alone eating them.

well, try it... because mine wouldn't touch it either... I thought they would never eat veggies. Don't give up. :) I did give them millet alone for a couple of days before I put it on top of the veggies, and I made sure they loved the millet before I tried mixing the veggies with it. :) Good luck
