What other pets do you all have?

I have a jack russell terrier named Mickey, he's getting close to 4 years old and i've had him since he was just 7 weeks old! :D Here's a photo of him as a puppy and then another one of him now.

I have a german shepherd mix named Asia and my roommate has a rednose pit bull named Laila. Here is a pic of the two together:

We have one other bird, a parrotlet, as well as some fish.

The parrotlet's name is Sam, but he likes to go by Green. Whenever we say his name he'll start tweeting. He loves to play with his bells, and sunflower seed is his favorite food. He also has his favorites, and if you're not one of them, he'll let you know using his beak ;) . He's currently 7 years old. He'll be 8 in March.

The only fish who is significant enough to talk about is Sharkles. He's also our oldest pet: currently around 13 years. He's an iridescent shark. His friend, Sharkie, who was about nine, died a couple years ago. Ever since then he's been in a depression. No joke. He just lies around all the time, only taking a lap every once in a while.

Once he softens up to you, Sam's a nice guy.

Sharkles isn't mean. Believe it or not, he actually gets along well with the other fish in the tank. Most people think, the first time they see him, that he probably eats the other fish. But he really doesn't.

I'd say he's about 8-9 inches in length. That's just an estimate though. When we first got him, he was probably about two inches.

In addition to all my birds, we have two crazy Westhighland White Terriers. The female, 4 years old, is Norma di Druidi and the male, 2 1/2 years old is Wolfgang (Wolfie) B. Ruffhauser. Considering their love of digging, we frequently say we have Westhighland BLACK terriers.

i have 5 cats.. and 3 dogs. a hound a white lab and rat terrier.. but there ar emore they are my moms. she has 3 dog and 2 cats. so in all we have 7 cats and 6 dogs. and my mom has a salt water tank. and i have my birdies. hehe:D

yes it is but im never lonely i recently posted why i have so many animals. my mom worked at a vet place were pleople took sick animals and animals they found and she felt so bad for the animals she couldnt put them to sleep if they were savable so she brought them home, i grew up with ratcoons and other wild animals. After an animals is there for so long it has to be put to sleep. and she couldnt do it. so we have had alot of animals at one time. (or she tries to find them a home. she doesnt work there anymore. but lives in the counrty and any stray that comes are way is apart of the family. At her new were there are alot of cats and they have kittens and sometimes the cats get inthe compacter and die so mom takes the kittens in. i love her spirit.:p

All of my dogs and cats(except Frisk) were either adopted or rescued. :D

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that is old for them as pets. Too bad he's been depressed otherwise he could be a lot of fun to watch.

We got a beautiful golden retriever which we named Leba (i dont no how to spell it properly but it means love in german) when she was about 5 we decided to get her a little boyfriend a pure bred golden names charlie (i think) well together they had 13 BEAUTIFUL babies in one litter right here at the house we sold 12 and kept one which we named Mady (fast forward 2 years) july 4th 2005 leba went missing and never came home :( :( :( Mady became REALLY REALLY sad so i bought a pure bred pug (black not brown) and named him duke now they are the best of friends but i still miss my leba and those are my other pets

My cousin's budgies flew away once. It was sad. They went looking for them in the park nearby and just driving around looking, but they never found them. :(

That is precisely why I like to keep my budgies' wings clipped (well, at least Kiwi's and Aries'; Skyla will never need another wing clip since she's only got one wing). I would hate to see my budgies just take off one day through the front door if it happened to be open. And I don't doubt that they would fly. . . .fly. . . . fly REALLY high and far!

I have 6 budgies (ozzy, munch, mango, sherbert, rain and paganbagel) a parrot (moose who says bu-bye and blows kisses) 3 cats (sox, poppy and archy who weighs 2 stone FAT CAT!) a dog (gemma), a hampster (biscuit) and a rat called mr. baggins. Mr. baggins is a rescue rat the RSPCA found him in a binbag with his dead siblings so we adopted him, and paganbagel had her toe bitten off by a ring neck so she lives here now :) Im getting a larger cage soon so there will be more little feathered ones on their way!

I have three dogs: 1 American Eskimo(Rufus), 1 Poodle(Spike), and 1 King Charles Cavelier Spaniel(Bogie)
Four cats: I don't know what kinds they are but here are the names: Kit-Kat, Skunk, Tango, and Holler.
10 Fish: We didn't name those but here are some species: Angelfish, Sucker Fish, Cat Fish, Goldfish, and a few others I can't remember.
And:
2 Budgies: No idea what species but there is Pickle and Blueberry!

Courtney Michelle, your Ethan looks exactly like 2 dogs I had, Heidi & Torie. They've gone over the rainbow bridge and I still miss them. Mine were Ridgeback mixes, maybe a little pit thrown in. I now have 3 dogs, Koko a pug and 2 mixed breeds Kelly & Kipper. Those two are siblings. Four cats, Frosty who is snow white, Anastasia and Ashley and their mom, Annabelle. Lots of birds, 22 in all. Soon to be 26 because I'm going to get 2 more Budgies. I have 2 now, plus cockatiels, finches, a male canary that sings like an angel and a very goofy Goffins Cockatoo. Two little firebelly toads round out my menagerie. Did you know that these toads bark like dogs? It's pretty funny. I have them next to my computer and they stretch up on the glass of their home and look at me. Especially if they are hungry for crickets. I love seeing all the pictures of the pets here. Hope I can figure out how to send some also. I'm not too computer literate!

I'm looking after my brothers dog at the moment, she's a collie x.
Her temperament is great and she is ball mad!
We recently took her on holiday in the caravan and a Jack Russell stole her squeeky ball!

we have also owned Cavlier King charles spaniels too as they are such adorable dogs but since we moved to acreage we have decided to only have large dogs as little dogs escape to easliy and we had a tradegy with out little man Zac a few years ago when nexts doors rotti Mauled him so baly and repeatedly that we had to have him put to sleep too thanks god they moved out

I have several pied, 4 white faces and 1 normal. That normal had a cinnamon mother and a Lutino father. He was the only normal one in the clutch. He's a real sweetheart. I named him Pepper. All of mine have names, but I get the pied ones mixed up because they are all in an aviary now.

I love reading about other people and their pets, too. Makes me feel normal having so many, as a lot of people think pet lovers are nuts! Too bad, isn't it?

Sorry about your little dog getting mauled. I've had the same experience and it's not pretty.

I have resized the photo for you Joey. Unfortunately, tinypic doesn't allow you to resize them. You have to do that before uploading it to tinypic. Any image editing program like Adobe Photoshop or Microsoft Photo Editor would do the job. :p

There is a program called Photo gadget pro which you can download to change the size of your pictures and do other handy things to them this is the site: http://www.xemico.com/photogadget/ The download is free but is only a 15 day trial period, then you have to pay for it (about $30 Aus) Once you have downloaded it then you just right click the photo and there will be an option added to the menu!

As for my other pets! I have two dogs, one fox terrior called Holly and a dashund puppy that I got on the weekend called Frankie! I also have a cat called Rex and my budgie Bobby!

Oh I love Shiba Inu's - they are so beautiful! My step-sister has one but the poor thing was abused as a puppy and then she took it in. It is afraid of it's own shadow... I really want to get a Lab, a golden female called Honey - I've wanted one all my life!! I will get one when we move into the house we are building!!

How to you manage to keep your cat's from taunting your budgies?

So Far so good, It hasn't been Bad ! My Cats know that Momma will get mad :mad: if they mess with the new :budgie: :) My cats are well behaved and know the word NO! I do however keep the birds in here next to the PC in a room all to their self and when I am gone this door stays shut off to the kitties.
Only time the kitties are allowed in here is if I am in here with them...It has been quite easy really...Better then I even expected !:)
