Hey :)

Here are some pictures of the gang. Unfortunately, this time, Jonnie is not in his cage. :(

But a new member is, Duke! He is a beautiful little tiel, but scared to death. He also has no name or price, so I've decided to let Daisy and Duke match hehe

Daisy's up first!

She didn't feel like posing much today.

And here is the new tiel, Duke!

Monty, the beautiful Painted Conure

The adorable finches

And Keiko, the big Blue Crowned Conure. He isn't as playful as I've seen him last. Maybe because Jonnie isn't here anymore. :(

Oohhh. I hate going to petstores just for that reason. You see all of these amazing friendly birds and such... sometimes theirs a chinchilla or a few dogs... and you cant take them home.

Wow!! How amazing that Daisy is still there! Is she way overpriced or something. :P You didn't switch her price tag to say $300 or something did you?? ;)

Hey, Bea has a great idea. Why not mark the price to a much higher amount, the next time you want a Tiel or something? That way, no one else will be able to afford it. Then just before you buy it, you can put the old price tag back on! Hehehe! Ooops, did I say that? (No, Bea did)

Wow Aralyn, you are such a fun person. I think you should get a job at a pet store. You are such a good Mommy and always going to visit the new additions that come in. I don't think I could go as often as you. I get bonded from just one visit and if I went as often as you, I'd have a broken heart each time an animal was removed by a new owner!!!! :ohno: :crying:

Thanks for sharing such wonderful photos. Now you're making us ALL want another bird. They are all so adorable.

Daisy and Duke are GORGEOUS. They look almost like the 'tiel I saw in at Petco. Ahhh. I want another 'tiel. =o

[EDIT]
Oh. A blue crowned conure. I think that's what my boyfriend wants to get. And my Mom wants to get a Sun or Jenday conure. Actually, once Mom gets the tax return money and we do a bit more research, Mom's hoping to get a conure. And probably a bigger cage for Emily. =D

Thanks guys :)

I was so suprised to see Daisy still there, but very happy too. She still didn't have a tag on her, neither did Duke. When one of the workers came in to let me see Barney, the sunnie, I asked him how much the tiels were.

He wasn't sure and was confused on why there was no tag, but he did tell me that they are usually around $120. Discounted 20% if I had my card, which I did :P

Does that sound like a good deal? The usual tiels I see elsewhere are sually around that price too.

He also explained their temperament and since they are both new to the store, they haven't been able to befriend them, as they did with the sunnies. He explained that Daisy is a bit anti-social (which I don't think is true if they've spent some more tiem with her) and Duke, the new guy, is a bit scared.

Bea and Donna, what a good idea! I should switch up the prices next time :P

Even with the interaction with the sunnies was amazing and I was so happy to see how affectionate they were, I still would take Daisy home, along with Duke. I'm a realistic type of person and I know for sure I won't be able to bring home a conure anytime soon. But a tiel, just maybe...

Aww thank you Donna for your comment about me spending time at the store. I love going in there just to see them. I've really become their friend and I honor that.

Keiko, the blue crowned, was described to a independent, unfriendly bird, but when I go in the aviary, he's always on his wooden perch in the back, and steps up to the closest perch (the toy perch you see in the picture) and tries to grab a hold of me! I feel so loved whenever he does that :)

This man actually came in the aviary when I was playing with Barney, and he started talking to the birds and whatnot and he told me how friendly the conures were.

I said, "Yea, they've been here a while"

and he said, "Oh really? How often do you come in?"

and I said, "twice a week, almost"

And he was suprised at how often I come in, just for the birds. I felt so devoted lol not to honk my own horn, you see. :P

I love all the birds in there, big and small and I adore each one of them. I just wish Jonnie was still there. His cage is empty and it just doesn't seem the same anymore. I guess I'm setting my own trap of being hurt when of the birds do have to go, but at least I've got to know them :)
