well. I haven't been updateing my journal so here's what I'll do. I'll try to sum up everything that's been going on
1st of. yoshi is doing very well. vocolizing more. but still not very vocal at the same time. he is VERY comfortable now. and has settled in beautifully!:D I am so glad to have him. He just startes moulting and so far I only saw one pinni. this is my first moult( if you understand what I mean) and he is always scratching his head. and OUr bond gets stronger almost every time I give him a real good head scratch. because from my understanding. allot of budgie owners cannot do that and they've had them for years. or a little less. so I guess that's reaaly good progression. I got him a new NATRYUAL wood perch! FINALLY found one at walmart!:eek: I was checking my petstores. not walmart!:p. and it is now his FAVORITE perch of all time. the only time I see him leave it is to eat. and come to me.:p cute.
Lately he has been bonding with his mirror "friends" and so our relationship has weakend a little bit. but it is still some what stong. I sence a feel of lonliness in him sometimes. it seems to be more often now the longer I have him. And he enjoys his cage set ups I switch every few months. so far switched 3 times or so. had him four months.
ALSO I will hopefully get him a friend. but now I'm debating weather to or not. because my dad and I are planning a trip to his home town to visit my grandmother before she dies. ( she's been diagnosed with cancer and has less then 4 months to live) and we are trying to figure out what to do with yoshi. and when we are planning on going. would be when I have the new bird still in quarintine! so Idk if I'll be able to get him now. Unless I get him after we go in april. then get him in april. and have him quarentined till like june...... I think that'll work. And theres a good chance he'll get a friend. BUT I am not 100% on it. my dad basically said yes when my aunt and I asked him about it. but not a straight out YES. So Like I said a very high chance He'll have a friend in a few months........... HUH!*sigh<*
And if or when I get the bird. I want to name it a character from mario bros. as yoshi's name was inspiered by them. I want to keep up the theme.
and he now LOVES veggies. ( carrots but mainly celery cause he prefers to peel off the strings on the back of the stick :P) and apples. so that's good. and he is always munching on his calcium perch, cuttle bone, and wood perch often after he started his moult. Sooo.
