Well, it sounds like your little sweetie could use a visit to an avian vet. If you need to find one in your area, you can search for one here:
http://www.aav.org/vet-lookup/
It is possible she is egg bound. Does she look swollen in her vent area? Does she appear to be straining? Are her droppings normal? Does she even have droppings? If she is egg bound, many budgies will have very infrequent (or even non-existent) droppings as the egg is blocking the cloaca.
You can read some information about egg formation and egg binding at this site (it has really great information as it is targeted at veterinarians).

Good luck and please let us know how she is doing. I will keep my fingers crossed for her!!

Her droppings look part water, part white, part green....to us this is almost normal.....she was splashing around in the water dish yesterday and may have drank alot.
But the poo is also semi-frequent (normal for her) At least in that area she seems to be doing fine
I can't really tell what is suppose to be normal and abnormal for the swollen area....nothing jumps out at me that looks un-usual.
I just checked on her and nothing in her cage yet......but she didnt seem to be nasty or shy away from me.....in fact she was happy to see me, and wanted to come out and play with my wet hair......I gently put her back in her cage instead.
Ive heard that you can squirt a small amout of mineral oil to help the egg come out. Dont quote me on this. Im probably wrong :D Anyways I know for sure you can do this with lovebirds. Lol acctually I wouldnt advise doing this :D Its hard and dangerous.
Its reallly easy to get it out my female has been eggbound 4 times.Put the budgie inside a warm box about 70-75 degrees it can be heated by an warm packet of water with a towel over it.Budgies become eggbound if the temperature is to cold to pass the egg or if there wasnt much calcium in the diet.Other problems could cause this too there are many such ass the egg was too big, young female....etc.If she dosent pass the egg in 3 hours.Take her out of the box and put some vegetable oil auround the vent an very very very genetaly force the egg out with your finger slowly but carefully, she might not be eggbound though Ive been through this could you post a picture of her so I could see how she is like she might not be eggbound it sounds like it though.

I have taken our Tabitha to the vet. I found a bird vet in our area. They asked me to leave her there for the day to observe her and check her out, so she is there now and I am waiting to hear from them.
Thank you to anyone who replied I appreciate the time and effort.
We felt it better for her to be seen by a professional.
Thank you again :budgie:

Tabitha is home! YAY! :jumping1:
She has an inner ear infection that they are treating her for.
God I hope we didnt contract that to her by going to the pet store the other day (even though we did NOT touch any other birds)
I bought Tabitha for my mom's birthday a year ago and you know it's amazing she cost us $30 but we are willing to spend $300 for her health care
it is amazing what such a small creature can do for someone
Thank god I went to the vet :D

I am so happy to hear that you brought your sweetie to the vet and found out what the problem was.
I can certainly identify with spending 10+ times more than the what the bird cost to buy. With my budgie Skyla, we decided to have her wing amputated on the advice of our avian vet; Skyla had a tumour on the underside of her wing). That cost us $700 for the anaesthetic, surgery, pain meds, hospitalization, tube feeding.
I'm so proud of you for doing what you did to get your sweetie the care she needed! Great job!

WOW... that is a lot of money.....and I think we would definatly dot he same thing if need be.
Im glad to hear you care about your baby as much as we do ours.
:)
Good choice Budgiekin, Money, no object.
I have over £150 in my Budgie-fund, I'll have to get a bit more in there!
