Starburst is my newest budgie, and she's over a year old when I got her, so she's a bit of a scardy right now. No problem, we just started working on her taming, but I think it's going pretty ok right now. She will let you pick her up, but she will not stay on you at all!

Snowball I've had since he was a baby. I was not good at hand taming him in the begining and I kinda gave up :o But I restarted it now and he is doing very well! At first he just flies away, but today we had an awesome thing happen! He jumped right on to my arm!!

He wasn't trying to fly away or over it, he did this on purpose. I think it's cause I always put him in his cage and that's where he wanted to go so he figured I was the fastest way home. :D And then a few hours after that he jumped on my arm again to get out of his cage! He even went as far as letting me scratch his head a bit. He did test out my thumb a bit with his beak, but nothing hard. More like tongue kisses!

Yay! I'm so happy I had to tell someone!

I know, it's so great when they stand on you!

I've got a pic and a video I need to post of Snowball on my hand eating some millet ! ^_^

Updates:

Starburst is doing better! She will now jump on your finger if you push a bit. She's always been such a sweetie at heart, never even attempts to bite when she is scared. :) She' making progress! Very comfortable with me by their cage.

Snowball is doing good too, he will jump on my hand or arm to eat millet. He even let me scratch his head for him! And gave me kisses lol :p
