Introducing the TB Breeder Directory

This has been a long-requested feature, and at long last it is here. The TB Budgie Breeder Directory (http://talkbudgies.com/directory) is now live and accepting breeder entries. Here is how it works:

If You are a Breeder

All you have to do is submit your link in the appropriate category. After verification, the staff will approve it and your link will be live.


If You are NOT a Breeder

If you aren't a breeder, but you'd like to add your favorite breeder(s) to the directory, you can do this as well. Simply submit an objective, professional entry for your breeder. Once submitted, the staff will contact the breeder to get approval to be listed in the directory. If they approve, your entry will appear. If not, it will be deleted. If you are submitting an entry on behalf of a breeder, it is best you contact them beforehand to expedite the process. (We will still verify with them though.) This is also a great way to let them know about our website, and maybe they'll choose to submit their link themselves.

This is still a work in progress. If you have any suggestions or comments, please let me know in this thread or through PM. In the coming days I'll be posting a more in-depth guide to the directory. This will be linked somewhere in the directory itself, and will probably also be in the How-To forum.

There is a new tab at the top of the v3 skin if you haven't noticed already. For all other skins, a link will be added to the navbar shortly.

I am not a breeder. However, I would like to submit the following TalkBudgies members and moderators for consideration. According to their TB profiles, they're all "budgie breeders," and they've all displayed excellent knowledge of breeding here in these forums.

Unfortunately the software is by its nature a links directory. There's no way I can modify that. :( I'll try to get some help and see if we can possibly bypass the URL submission.

I know what you mean - I would love to be added. My son was meant to be building me a website - but unfortunately at 17 his love and time at theminute is taken up with his love for fishing and girls not his mummy :giggle:

This is great. i wonder if anyone has a budgie rescue they could add as well? it could be a place to find budgies without resorting to petstore bins. Cant wait for a Texas breeder to show up!

Sure, if their profile page has all their breeding info, then they're welcome to use their profile page URL as their website link. :)
