how to feed

hello, my budgie is handtamed, in a cage by himself. and he wont eat any veggies or fruit i place in his feed dish. , no celery heads, alfalfa sprouts, broccli, i tried ripping it into little pieces, but he doesnt seem to be interested. any ideas? by the way he has been with me for 1.5 months.

have you tried putting on the bottom of his cage, and showing him its good to eat?? Tuffy seemed more intrested in veggies after he saw me eat pices of lettuse from his cage. hope this helps :)

my budgie goes to two places in his cage, the food, and his perch. he doesnt go the bottom of his cage.

If he is hand tamed hold him in your hand and eat some of the stuff you want him to eat. He may not like it at first taste but it is more than likely at some point he will try whatever you are eating.

ok, i guess time will tell. also my budgie's tail feathers are shaking, but he isnt fluffed up like he, sick and room is at 71-73 degrees F. what is going on and how do i fix it?
