Okay, so getting two females together is a big no-no, right? But two males is okay and a male and a female are okay as long as its not mating season, right?

As long as they have enough space, there should be no problem having two females together. They do have a tendency to be a little more aggressive than males but they can co-exist peacefully if they have enough space. A lot of breeders, in fact, segregate their males and females completely. I plan to do that as soon as I have my new breeding facility set up in my back yard. That way, you can keep pairs from bonding. But, my mini-aviaries will be 6X6x3 ft. each.

It can be done! I had Petrie and Ceaser together for a few years (Both Females) but they did have they squables. It does seem that males get along better but I think if you have two and they are introduced properly that no true problems will come out of it. But then again it does all depend on the birds involved.

And like she said space to get away if they do tend to fight:)
Well it seems as though all that needs to be said, has been said!
