January 2011 Member of the Month

2010 has come and gone, and it's now time to welcome in a new year, a new decade in fact!

Betcherrygah (John) joined our forum only a few months ago, but has easily proven himself worthy of MOTM. Everyday he is on Talk Budgies trying to answer various questions. He always makes good quality posts, and brings along his great sense of humour too, putting a smile on people's faces. John is a great member to start off our 2011 Member of the month awards.

Thanks for the kind words and congratulations folks, they really do mean so much to me.

I'm still in shock as this was totally unexpected, as no doubt it should be, and I'm just so grateful to the many members of Talk Budgies who have guided me through budgie ownership these past months.

Ownership is probably the wrong word, but right now I can't think of another one. One thing I've learned is that you never "own" budgies, they own you. :D

Now does this honour mean that I get all the monetary benefits that other MOMT's get, like cash bonuses and free air travel, or are those perks just limited to Dave and staff? :laughing2:

Also, does this mean that I now need to be kind to Debbie? :laughing:

I log on to Talk Budgies when I wake up around 5.00 am each day, and stay logged on until it's time for bed, around 9.30 to 10.00. I'm not here all the time though as I pop in and out for a look. :D
