Any time we get near the cage they go bonkers flying all over and hitting the sides of the cage.
So yesterday I moved them near my computer and into a cage with a larger door.
My niece is staying with us for a while so I have enlisted her help.
So for starters all we are doing is sitting by the cage. Talking to them. Letting them see our hands a lot.
When they get use to this we well start opening the door. Then work with millet once they stop flying around so much.
It well take months I am sure cause Pepper is three years old. But maybe Holly well come around faster and help Pepper do the same.
Only time well tell. Just hope I can calm them before time to go to the outdoor flight cage. Or maybe I wont do that this year. Since I just have the two. Or if I can get them tame enough just put them out on nice days. Well just have to see.

Well seems we have made a tiny little bit of progress. I can look at the cage and they don't go nuts. lol
They still get as far away from me as they can and stop doing anything cute. However they did chrip at me when I was close. lol

Some people don't even get their bird to come close or anything so you have done well :)

A little more progress. I can now get near the cage and they don't go nuts. They do stop what they are doing but they don't move away.

Well I am seeing some more progress. I can now be near the cage and they don't fly away right off now they well get kind of nervous then move over but no flying and trying to kill themselves. They also well sit calmly when I open the door.
