Dried fruit, Im not sure but I do know people use Frozened fruits and Vegetables and their budgies eat them fine.

It depends on the kind of dried fruit. If it's the sticky kind (gummy ones), then I wouldn't recommend it as they often have added sugar and/or preservatives in them.

If you are going to offer dry foods to your budgie, I would dry them myself (in a food dehydrator). That way, you know the foods have been washed carefully and don't have any added extras like sugar or preservatives.

Peanut butter would be a very fatty food to give to a budgie. While I don't think it is toxic, I would be inclined to NOT give it to them given the high fat content.

Thanks for the info. I'm glad I asked.
I always ask questions before I act.

i've tried banana chips with mine, since my other birds enjoy them, but they wont even try them! lol

as for peanut butter, my concern would be not only the fat content but the sugar. skippy & jiff types are really high in sugar! i dont see a problem with them stealing a bite if your eating a sandwich, just dont let it become a daily occurance.

the more i think about this, i am remembering reading a lot in bird talk magazine, a good treat. taking pine cones & spreading peanut butter in the cracks & rolling it in seeds. then hanging it in the aviary. so i know its ok as a treat, but as i said before, not too much because of the sugar!
(see sometimes the brain works, it just needs a jumpstart!)
