View Full Version : Raspberry Jam?
I'm just making a delicious seed cake for Spring's birthday and I was wondering, can budgies eat a little bit of raspberry jam?

I don't see a need to giving them strawberry jam, even as a treat. Why not put fresh strawberries or raspberries (washed VERY well!) instead?

I suppose if you made your own "jam" but mashing fresh (washed) strawberrys or raspberrys, it would be ok.

Ohhhh, pictures when done?
Here you can get 100% fruit jam which is just smushed up fruit, nothing else. That'd be ok.

I don't know which option you're taking Amy. You might of done it by now anyway. :o But look at the ingredients on the jam first, you know what products are like these days. Too much stuff inside we hardly notice.

I dont see any problem with once a year them letting them nibble on jam in a cake. this is not an everyday occurance, and the certainly wont die from a bit of sugar consumed in a few minutes.
i think it would be a lovely treat for them!
