I might get an Umbrella Cockatoo!!!! :D :D

His name is Grover. He is 18 yrs old. He doeasn't need to be coddled like other toos do. He will sit with you and cuddle, but doeasn't demand it.

Here is a pic!!

He loves to dance to music too!!

Either this, or 2 tiels, budgies, rosella, alexandrine, or kakariki. These are at a parrot shelter.

He is adorable! I love cockatoos, but after really reading up on them, they sound far too demanding for my current lifestlye.

yeah... cockatoos are really advanced (my parents didn't know the difference between too's and tiel's, so the only bird they said I could get was a budgie).

Cute bird! He looks happy in that pic

I know, they can get loud.

I've worked with 'toos in parrot shelters. Once a shelter owner offered me a lovely Triton named Stanley.

This too isn't that demanding it says, but I'll still spoil him like all my birdies. :) I might change his name too. Maybe the name Sammy or "Haneo". Haneo is japanese for "feather boy". I also like the name Manu. Manu is Hawiian for "parrot".

I read somewhere that their scream is as loud as a jet taking off.

Ahh here's the site: http://www.mytoos.com/

I dont think they can be that loud.... a jet can travel at the speed of sound, creating a sonic boom. No bird can do that much harm.

Yup. I visit My Toos. It's a really great site.

But I doubt they could be as loud as a sonic boom. Maybe a little quieter than a jet taking off. Almost as loud.

A 747 Jumbo Jet produces as much as 140 decibels of noise. Peacocks have been registered at 115 db.
Moluccans hold the record as the loudest bird on earth at 135db (average = 120db)"..... San Diego Zoo

Not quite as loud as a Jet, but still up there.

yay! I'm right!! :D :D lol!

But this is a U2..not a M2..thankfully.. When M2's are happy they bounce up and down and make a loud high pitched noise. My sennie is almost that loud!! he can like mimic larger birds for some reason
