I have a budgie called Greengrass. Even though she is older she is fairly active. On occaisons she will break out of her cage and break into my canaries - Krystal - cage. Krystal also shares with our bengalese finch - Bubu. Greengrass will break into Krystal's cage and just sit on the perch. Her seed dish is full in her own cage and i cant understand why she feels the need to break out. Anyone have any ideas?

She has never lived on her own. She may have been on her own for a while when we first bought her. But now we have owned her for about 5 years and she has always lived with another budgie.

Is she living with another budgie now?

Yeah, we recently moved her out of her old cage who she shared with a female - Chrissie - into a cage with a male. Her + Chrissie would fight alot and as she is older it affected her more.

maybe she just likes being with many birds, more of a flock life than just in a pair :) have you thought about putting the cages near eachother and leaving them open to allow them to feel like a flock? mine love it! (budgies and finches)

I could'nt do that because Greengrass is quite an aggresive bird towards anything. I have to think of Bubu and Krystal's safety.

But the cages are always right next to one another.
