Just a little bit ago I got Pearl out and my parents were helping me clip her wing (one was clipped and one wasn't).
Anyways, we let her stand on a towel for a minute to see if her wings both looked the same (which they did), and she decided to fly and hide inside a teeny tiny hole that leads up into a cupboard. The cupboard is towards the ground; it's not one of the high up ones over the counter. I was so scared! I have no clue how she even found it!

We tried to coax her out with millet and shined a flashlight so she could see her way out but nothing worked.
We finally unscrewed the right side of the cupboard and she was as far back as she could get. We coaxed her out and I held her in a towel for a few minutes to calm her down and gently placed her back inside her cage. Poor little thing, she's been shaky ever since, and still is a little bit. :(

I'm just so grateful nothing happend to her. :)
I'll keep her as far away as I can from that cupboard from now on. Actually, now that I think about it I'm gonna find something to block that hole.

I'm glad she is safe and sound now.

Once my budgie got stuck in the back of my refrigerator, don't ask how.

I've been thru that twice! It is scary!! My baby Aloha loves small dark spaces! He once ran under a chest of drawers and I HAD NO IDEA where he was! Fig chirped and he chirped back and I finally found him under this little area type thing!

He also ran behind a freezer, then the couch, then the freezer again. Luckily when he tried to squeeze under the freezer, he was too big, and same with when he tried to go into a hole where all the wires were! EEK!

Glad your birdie got out safely! :)

My baby fell behind a small cupboard that I have, I couldn't find her though I kept hearing wings fluttering. I finally found her, and there was this pile of feathers stuck up against the wall. I didn't want to risk trying to pull it away from the wall. Fortunately it is in the middle of the room so there is plenty of wall space beside it and it is a short cupboard. I used a stick and slid it under her and lifted her up. She was none the worse for wear but I rolled up some newspapers and jammed them between the wall and the top so it can't happen again.

A long bamboo pole can come in handy. I have a long one the size used in gardens.

Wow, at least I'm not alone!
Sounds like these silly little birds can get anywhere!

Newspaper is a good idea..maybe I'll plug the hole with that!
