Baby 1 is here!!!!! At 12:49am on Friday January 26, 2007. Liberty helped the baby out and opened up the egg right in my hand! I am so proud!!!!!

Sad to say... Baby 1 didn't make it through the night, not sure what happened but the baby was dead by morning. So sad :(. I hope Eggs 2,3,4 have better luck.

No, I've done it before and they've been fine. The parent's did NOT kill that baby, I trust the both of them and Liberty broke the egg right in my hand and let the baby out. She trusts me.

Egg 2 is cracking as of yesterday morning. So we will see!

Sad to say, I just checked and baby 2 was dead. I don't know what's up with Liberty, she's only incubating the eggs, not the babies. That's why baby 1 was dead, now baby 2 suffered the same fate. If this happens again, I will foster the remaining 2 babies out to Tinkerbell.

Loot was NOT the problem. She had a live baby in there, Loot did NOT go in the nest, he fed her then she stuck her head back in the nest... There was something going on inside, she popped out and refused to go back in and sit on her last egg. Baby 2 was killed by her, so she and Loot have been seperated, she is no longer sitting on any eggs.
