October Member of the month

It's the first of October which means there's a brand new member of the month!! :party:

I am extremely happy to announce that our October member of the month is.........

Robin's Nest!! :party2:

Robin joined talkbudgies in 2008 and has always been friendly and a model member here on talkbudgies. She currently owns 3 adorable budgies! Strider, Bucky and Penske as well as the stunning Coco!

Robin has always provided extremely helpful information and is always friendly towards all members. She has always gone beyond our expectations when answering questions and has always made us proud! :)

Over the past two years she has written many helpful threads including many of our stickies How cold is too cold for the birds? (http://talkbudgies.com/showthread.php?t=48740), Pasting of the vent, (http://talkbudgies.com/showthread.php?t=59240) and Step up videos! (http://talkbudgies.com/showthread.php?t=52324) She also has a very successful birdy blog called Living with Parrots cage free (http://cagefreeparrot.blogspot.com/).

Robin always states her opinions in a respecful manner and is a joy to have around! :D

Wow - - to say that I was shocked and surprised is an understatement!!!:wow:

I saw the message at work, and had to immediately call the birds!:call2: Coco only has this party hat from our new year's celebration, but such an occasion certainly calls for millet and new party hats for her and the budgies! We will be enjoying our Friday night with lots of toys and treats, and I hope to post some pictures later!

The gold wings are oh so pretty! But what is really special to me is each of you and your kind comments. I feel as if I know many of you personally. We, and our birds, have been through a lot in the last couple of years - we have shared the joy of many happy times with our birds, and sadly a few tears and tense moments when our birds were sick or had troubles.

I haven't written much on my blog lately, because I've felt as if I've lost any sense of it being useful, helpful or even important for me to write in an effort to better understand my own birds. Your kind words have touched me so much, and reminded me that it is important for us to continue to talk, write and pursue a greater understanding of these wonderful companions that we share our lives with. Perhaps this was God's way of reminding me of this. It is all about those times of sharing joys, experiences and successes, as well as grief and hope in times of despair.

I don't have the words to thank each of you for your kind words. They mean more to me than I can say.:hug:
