Training Jewel aka chirpy

Im pretty happy with how curious Jewel is.I put the end of my finger in between the cage bars near the bottom.She kept doing gymnastics at the top then looking at my finger, then beating up her toy, and looking at my finger.She finally accidentally fell to the bottom of the cage and came over touched my finger with her head and then proceeded to ignore me after that.

She will come over when I talk to her as well.But I put my hand in and she doesnt panic but stays away.
I had parakeets in past years.But I dont remember any of them being as gymnastic as this one, nor as hyper.I just love watching her.

She loves to climb up the cage bars upside down and then slide back down.She also does flips and hangs from the top of the cage.It very cute

Both of my females are more active and flexible than my boys. They love to do somersaults while hanging from a corner of the cage. Maybe it's a hen thing?

How cute is Jewel! She sounds like such a happy girl, just exploring away! This is a great sign that she is settling in nicely. ;)

Thanks all, she is a cutie.If my son doesnt watch out Im going to take her over. I kinda worry that he will not have the stick to it enough to get her tamed down.I hope it will work if we both are doing some training.

Well I put my hand in with about a 2inch piece of millet and after about 5 minutes of gymnastics around the cage she came over and nibbled some off the end.I hope she isnt too old to tame down.Im 46 and in my life Ive had budgies but not one that was ever tame.
