I'm thinking about getting another budgie, to maybe one day be a mate for Petri, so I'll have to make sure I get a male this time lol
You are supposed to keep the new budgie in a different cage until they play through the bars, then you can put them in the same cage, right?
Just making sure ^^

You need to keep the new budgie in a separate cage in a separate room for at least 30 days but the longer the better. This is to watch for disease in the new budgie. Then after quarantine you should place the cages beside each other and let them out for play time together until they are comfortable with each other. Don't just chuck a new budgie in the cage with the old one. :)

I was going to. but since I'm still confused about Petri's sex I don't know how its going to go..I hope so..I just need to find out what Petri is, then I will for sure! ^^

Yes please don't do what i did. When lilly 1th lost her cage mate we just went and bought sonic. We put them in the same cage right away. THey both freaked. After a while that got closer but the 1th night or so that stayed on oppisite side of the cage. After a while lilly started to chase sonic and i got worried so i added a divider in the cage that they couldn't see through and they were calling for each other the whole night. Ever since then thay have been the best of buddies but it could of turned out worse i now know it. Im planning on get antother budgie myslef but im getting anoter cage and quarentineing this one.
