My experience, over the years, is that Budgies LOVE celery. Especially the green tops. If you can get to the grocer BEFORE he chops off the green leafy part, try to do so. You'll find that easier to do at smaller markets.

One very important thing.....be sure to wash the celery before you give it to the birds AND wash it in warm water to take the chill off.

I hang an entire stalk upside down in my aviary. With very wet leaves. The birds love to play in the leaves and get wet. Then they nibble away until there is nothing left. Take it out before it wilts.

My budgies love the leaves too. I always take the lighter green leaves from the inside of the celery stalks.

Blinkie adores celery but i don't feed it too often, it's like iceburg lettuce and can give budgies the runs. :p

hmm.. i'll have to try them on, so far zero + beaky have refused too eat any veggies i've given them :( i've been putting off getting them celery cos i hate it!! ooh random, but celery related, someone told me baby budgies smell of celery! is that true or were they winding me up? if its true doesnt that make budgies that like eating it a bit weird?!?
