I'm in need of some ideas. Do you boil all veggies or serve them raw?Do dice it up or do you mash?Any and all ideas are greatly appreciated.thanks

for the budgies mine are either grated or small dices. all raw. if it put fruit on the kabob, then its just in chunks (any potatoes are all cooked!)

You can do it anyway you want, offer variety and see what your birds like best.
Don't stop giving veggies and fruits even if they don't try them the first days, Sooner or later they will get curious.
I offer raw veggies grated and chopped never tried boiled.

Some budgies like their veggies prepared differently, so it would be okay to experiment and see which type of cooking your budgies prefers best :)

I plan on (tomarrow) filling rutabags bowl with diced fruits and veggies (since i have a dicer and am too lazy to do all by hand) a variety instead of seed for a few hours. He usually ventures to his bowl once I re-place the food. :D

Variety is best- whenever I am trying to introduce a new bird to veggies, fruits..etc(I call it plate food) It is a good idea to sprinkle some millet spray seed on top- they will go for the millet and end up eating the other food:) . I like to get a bag of frozen mixed vegetables (pieces of carrots, calliflower, brocolli, corn, green beans etc) since it is easier to prepare -just put them on a plate and pop them in the microwave for maybe 10 secs until defrosted NOT WARM-room temp.-then add some fresh whole parsley, pieces of apple...etc..etc..and crumble some millet on top for the stubborn ones. They also love cooked corn on the cob, pasta and sweet potatoe. It works...Good luck.
