I Think I Am Almost There!!

Hi, Just like 10 mins ago, i was repeating my bird's name Lizzie, over and over......i gave her a treat when she moved her beak. I then gave her another treat because she chirped when i said her name again........and now when i say her name is sounds like she is trying to say it with 2 soft chirps...i was so excited!
but i also have 2 questions
What does is mean when you walk into the room where your bird is and they stretch their wings back?
and..
What does it mean when you are trying to get your budgie to talk and they put their head down closer to your lips and turn their head?

Them stretching their wings is basically their way of saying "hello" or "welcome back."

I don't know the answer to your second question, but I'd guess she's trying to listen to what your saying so she can repeat it. Just a guess though.

I was working with Lizzie for about 1/2 an hour.....i know that you are only supposed to do it for about 20 mins or so........i stopped cause i didnt want to bore her! :) lol

I did yesterday, but I think..IT (..now I'm confused about the sex of it! :P) was more preoccupied with biting my fingernail :P But I think it understands now ^^ We made progress! go us!

i was watching the movie GREASE yesterday, and i played the songs on there really load and lizzie loves it!
she was singing right along with it!
I also found out that she loves listening to country music........well, it looks like it to me that she seems to like it

I head tilting is an interest thing. Blinkie and Ozzie both do it when they're curious about something (or just generally trying to be ADORABLE!). :p
