How do you know 'when it is time'?

Hey ..
i am wondering when you are supposed to know when your budgie starts talking........i was talking to my bird Lizzie, but only in very short sentences and repeating most of them over and over.....my bird made a weird sound......it wasnt a chirp and it wasnt a squawk either........kinda sounded like a grunt........was does this mean?.does it mean she is readt to start talking ??

Have patience in time she will start talking I think it is a sighn that she's trying to talk.....keep working with her.....try just one word at a time:)good luck!!;)

it's weird.....
I took Lizzie out of her cage the other day and she was sitting on top of it......i took out her water dish and gave it to her, she started drinkning out of it and then she jumped on top of it and tried giving herself a bath...I thought that it was the coolest thing, so i found a better and bigger dish for her to use, when i gave it to her she was scared of it, .......the dish i have now she will sit on it, but she will not bathe in it.........Why is this
