Please help me, about eating.

Ok well my budgie eats her seed fine, although she doesn't eat every kind of seed, or dried fruits in her cup i'm fine with that.

The problem is she won't even try to eat any vegetable or fruits! I know she has to eat them, I try giving her something every day. The only thing she will try is brokoli, BUT all she does is lick it a bit then get un interested.

Doesn anyone have any effective ways to get her to eat fruits and vegetables? I really want her to eat them so she can be healthy.

Is there a special way i should prepare them? I know for greens i should put water on them, but should i boil the brokoli or something?

Some budgies prefere thier veggies cooked or have you tried canned are they really fresh...as the budgies can just take one look and know how fresh the veggie or fruit is try in the bathtub...mine love that....no water though....or clipped to favorit toy...that's it....Don't give up patience is the key.

My birds like broccoli raw......you can try chopping veggies and fruits into small pieces and either putting them in an extra cup or putting them on top of her seed. You can put them on a skewer in slices and hang it right beside the seed cup so her curiosity will get her to mess with it. You can also wedge a slice of the veggie or fruit between the cage bars close to a perch or seed cup..... some birds will take it in different ways. Just experiment and keep trying... sometimes it takes a bit for them to realize that they really like it! Also you can make birdie bread and fill it with frozen veggies and then bake it and they may start eating it that way and then offer raw veggies..... good luck!!!

mine is very scared of water lol, when i put her next to the sink and slightly turn it on, she squacks a tryes to fly lol.

and if i just cut the side of the apple or pair that is ok too right? I don't have to give her the whole thing....
