Ok, just now, my budgie (Blukie) suddenly had VERY strange problems.
Heres whats happening:

1. He can barely chirp. He makes weird mini squaks when trying to chirp.

2. His body twitches very often. (Around 2 twitches per second)

3. He's leaning on one side.

4. He "mini squacks" everytime he twitches.

PLEASE HELP! I don't want him to die! I can't go to the vet now and I'm in need of serious help! Thanks SOOO much in advance!

Your parents should have considered the cost of vet bills when and before they purchased your pet I am truely sorry for you. This is a sin for you to have to go through just learn from this experience......when you go out and buy a pet its a friend for life and will depend on you for all of its cares and needs and if your budget doesn't fit don't buy it!

Phew,, I just read an article and it says seizures are usually not life threatening for animals and humans. Thank god!!! It also says that it is caused usually (in budgies) by having a seed only diet. Next time i'll feed him fruits and veggies. He seems to be getting better right now. Doesn't shake as often.

By the way CAD is canadian dollar, and 50 Canadian dollars is about 57 American dollars.

Personally, i think that the vet is pretty much your only choice if you want to keep your budgie alive. You really need to get him there.

If ur in canada though, it will be cold still. Cant you find ANY way to get a ride therE??????

ian209

Why not ask your neighbours if they can take you to the vets? And as everyone has said, keep him warm, but not too hot.
