"Create the TB Logo" Competition!

Hello and welcome to our very special "Create the TB Logo" Competition! :D

Now as you all remember, Talk Budgie's Next Top Model finished a few weeks ago, and we promised you guys that the top three budgies would be featured in a brand new logo for Talk Budgies! :thumbsup:

The only part we didn't mention, was that we'd give YOU the chance to design the logo! :D

This competition is particularly special as the winning logo designer will have their logo featured on a brand new skin for the forum, as well as 50 karma points! :D

So for all you budding siggy makers and photoshop lovers, this competition is definately for you!

RULES:

- Must be in png format.
- Must have a transparent background.
- Height no greater than 200 pixels.
- Must feature the winner of TBNTM (Jencelena's Firecracker) as the middle budgie, with Kim's Phoenix, and Stacey's Chibi Chibi on either side.

You can use any image of Firecracker, Phoenix and Chibi Chibi that you'd like to create your logo :)

Perhaps you'd like to have Firecracker a little larger than the other two, or maybe you'd like to keep them all the same size, the option is up to you :thumbsup:

As mentioned previously, the brand-new logo will be featured on a new skin! To help you guys with your logos, here's a sneak peek (http://talkbudgies.com/images/misc/logoarea.png)of what the new skin will look like :D

You all have three weeks to send your logos in to me :) Once the three weeks is up, I will create another thread, where the entire TB community (including staff) will be able to vote for their favourite logo! :D

Just to make it more clear, here is where the logo will go on the new skin. Make sure your logo matches the skin (colors, etc.):

I understand that the maximum height should be 200. What should the maximum width be?

Well since it's a fluid skin (like the red skin, it takes up your whole screen), there doesn't need to be a "maximum" width. If you're using the current default skin (version 2), the width of that logo would probably be as wide as I'd go.

And remember to make it on a transparent background so the gradient on the page shows up behind it! Save it as a png.

Also, for anyone who enters, please save your PSD file if you used Photoshop so I can access the editable version of the logo should the need arise!

When you save your picture in Paint Shop Pro or whatever software you are using, there is an option as to what file type i.e. jpeg, bmp, png, etc.

It's not dumb, I had to ask at one time, now I remember.
I use the red skin all the time. Look at the bottom of the page, left corner, drop-down menu, you can change the skins. :)

Hi everyone! :) Good to see that interest in the competition is heating up :) We received our first entry today from canman23! :D I'm going to put it up on the first post of this thread :)

As I receive entries, I'll post them up there :) Once the three week deadline is up, I'll post up the pictures and a poll on a separate thread so the entire community can vote on their favourite logo! :)

I'm glad we all spotted the same thing :) When he sent it to me, I thought "is that firecracker??" and then thought that my mind was playing up on me, and I was thinking of the wrong budgie. Good to know that I'm not going crazy afterall :o

Did you save it with a transparent background? Sometimes a box with show transparency needs to be clicked.

Maybe it looks white because of the white background on their website. Actually I just pulled it up and it does have a white background. What are you doing this in?

By the way canman23's logo seems to have the same problem ı can not see phoneix and firecracker together there??

I explained this to Kerem over PM, but he didn't know which one was Firecracker, and I went to bed and woke up to a few PMs waiting for me :)

Kerem, I'll leave your logos up there, but can you send me updated logos with Firecracker (the green budgie) in the middle so I can replace them? As for canman, I've tried to get in contact with him but have had no reply from my PMs. If he does not update his logo by the competition deadline in about two weeks, then his logo will be disqualified :)

The third one has the right budgie but the first two, the budgie on the left isn't Firecracker. They look great otherwise:)

In the first and second one you have Phoenix in the middle, Chibi Chibi on the right and the left is an unknown budgie to me.
The third logo is perfect. You have the correct budgies in it and it looks great. Good job.

I would love to, but it took so long for me to draw the budgies for the book club logo and I'm leaving in a few days for vacation, so I don't think I'd be able to get it done in time. :( It would be a lot of fun to attempt though :p

lol, that is exactly what l have been doing this week. l have finished drawing Phoenix and l should be done Chibi- Chibi today. Then next is firecracker and finally l will then put my logo together. It is a long process but l really like the challenge :D
