I really have not got a clue sweetie, hopefully Bea and AnM will be on a bit later, I know they have tiels so they will be able to maybe help you out on this. Or ask Zarrion xxx :)

She might be eggbound..

Could be, I can imagine doing that in the water dish will release a bit of the pressure if shes egg bound or laying, you would possibly be able to tell though if she was egg bound because she would be very distressed, does she seem distressed Joe x

I don't know what might be the reason for her doing this, I have never seen my tiel even go into his water dish, If it is eggbound hopefully not I found you some info on the symptoms of egg binding. Its on the third paragraph in Egg binding

http://www.cockatielcottage.net/binding.html

Have you seen your cockatiels show any signs of breeding?

no A-n-M they have shown no signs of mating.does anyone know from the time they mate to the time they lay, how long is that period of time?

Amy

no A-n-M they have shown no signs of mating.does anyone know from the time they mate to the time they lay, how long is that period of time?

Eggs are laid about 7-10 days after a pair mates and 1 egg usually laid every 48 hours until the clutch is complete.

Ok, I just been chatting to Joe on msn about Sally his tiel. She actually sits in the water feeder with her legs in there for approx 30 seconds and does that for 3/4 times a day. Does anyone here think that is normal?

She slightly chirps as well....
