Hello everyone who reads this : ) This is a journal right : )
SO i have had Chewy and Sticky for awhile but being that Sticky seemed extremely afraid when i tried to tame her and Chewy the first time around i stopped trying for fear that she would hurt herself, so all my previous work with Chewy slipped away. I guess i didnt give her enough time to get used to me :( (amateurs mistake:o)
*Well Yesterday (01/07/10) after a couple of days of just having my hand in their cage steady and still, first with a piece of millet (they stayed away from me but Chewy was curious) the next day with a piece of spinach (still they stayed away no curiousity). 01/07 i got home said hi to Rex(my pup) walked over talked to the birds a little bit i pulled out a piece of millet cut it in half and put my hand in the cage *and Chewy almost immediatly came over and started eating from it !!! but it was funny because first he hopped over to seemingly "console" Sticky and let her know she was safe  then he came over and snacked on it. Sticky just stayed in the background unsure of what in the world her Hubby was doing with "the monster" lol
I could only stand there for a few minutes because my arm was tired so next time i think i will bring a chair with me:p
I was so happy!:D
This morning 01/08/10 i went and said good morning to my babies cleaned out their food dish and then opened the cage door to get their bath water and clean it out, now normally at this point they running around the cage madly trying to get away from the "big many limbed monster" lol my hand i mean. ;) But I dont know if it was because they were drousy still but not even a flutter they just stayed put and watched me.
It feels like so much progress in so little time....
Ciao until next time : )
