Riddle makes so much fun to guess the correct answer.

First person to give a correct answer will start a NEW riddle. The initiator must be online to reply 'correct' or 'wrong'. If 'correct', a NEW riddle is posted until the first person to reply a correct answer will continue with a NEW riddle and so forth. Cannot start a NEW riddle until a correct answer is given.

I start with the 1st riddle (simple one).

I have a face which can be any shapes. You can touch anywhere you like but you will never find 13.

Cool, I don't believe it!! Another easy one:

A dead man is found in a locked room, hanging from the ceiling 4 ft. above the floor. The room is completely empty, except for a puddle of water below him. How did he die?

juliafan23
01-04-2010, 09:49 AM
He was in a ice cube?

Caspir
01-04-2010, 09:49 AM
Yeah, I think that would count.

He stood on a block of ice and waited for it to melt.

You're turn, Rachel

helloyo53
01-04-2010, 02:23 PM

helloyo53
01-04-2010, 04:42 PM
Okay, here's one:

A man takes a barrel that weighs 30 pounds. He puts something in it. Now it weighs less than 30 pounds. What did he put in the barrel?

Caspir
01-04-2010, 04:47 PM
I was trying to make it "air", but that won't work. How about a "hole" in the bucket????

helloyo53

teasha
01-04-2010, 05:01 PM
He's 10! :)

You cannot kill me, yet I'm on fire. What am I? If that's too hard here's another...

It is light as a feather, yet no man can hold it for long? What am I?

the sun? :D

Caspir
01-04-2010, 05:09 PM
Your breath?

teasha
01-04-2010, 05:10 PM
Nope. This is from a 10 yr old prospective so it's hard. Think Harry Potter! But feel free to try or do the easier one :)

teasha
01-04-2010, 05:11 PM
Oh yes the second one is breath!!! YAY!!!

Caspir
01-04-2010, 05:11 PM

I'm still thinking though. :)

helloyo53
01-04-2010, 05:13 PM
Hmm, Harry Potter? Is it a Phoenix?

teasha
01-04-2010, 05:15 PM
Yes! A phoenix!!!

Caspir
01-04-2010, 05:15 PM
This one is cute. Your son will probably get it.

A group of soldiers were standing in the blistering sun facing due west. Their sergeant shouted at them:
Right turn!
About turn!
Left turn!

In which direction are they now facing?

Caspir
01-04-2010, 05:16 PM
Oooppps, sorry Brandon

teasha
01-04-2010, 05:18 PM
Southwest?

Caspir
01-04-2010, 05:18 PM
Nooooo, that's not correct.

teasha
01-04-2010, 05:20 PM
He guesses West?

Caspir
01-04-2010, 05:22 PM
Nope, (a tiny hint) there is only north, south, east and west. You've guessed south and west. :)

helloyo53
01-04-2010, 05:26 PM
Is it east?

teasha
01-04-2010, 05:27 PM
Well if you turn right thats north. I looked up about turn (sorry i cheated) thats 180 deg so back to north. Then left turn is West?

Caspir
01-04-2010, 05:29 PM
Yesssssssssssssss

Caspir
01-04-2010, 05:29 PM
A right turn is 90 degrees, an about turn is 180 degrees, and a left turn is also 90 degrees. Therefore, the soldiers are now facing east.

I WAS YESSSSING FOR BRANDON!

teasha
01-04-2010, 05:34 PM
Hmm I don't get how?

Caspir
01-04-2010, 05:40 PM
They are facing west.
90 degrees to the right = north.
About face is 180 degrees = south
90 degrees to the left = east

teasha
01-04-2010, 05:43 PM
Ok I give up :o I just don't see how you get back to East...

Caspir
01-04-2010, 06:05 PM
Sorry, I wish I could explain better. :(

teasha
01-04-2010, 06:56 PM

Jimm-V
01-05-2010, 09:19 PM
Skip Brandon who has MIA for riddle posting. Sorry.

I start a new riddle.

I start a new riddle.

Here goes :

Oh darn. I'm sorry about that. :o

Hmm, that's a tough one. I'll have to think about that one.

juliafan23

Jimm-V

3 girls, 2 boys and a siamese twin boy.

RosaBianca
01-06-2010, 12:18 AM
Oooh oooh, I have a guess!

Maybe all 7 are boys. That way you can accurately say half of them are boys; in fact, a quarter of them are boys, and two thirds of them are boys... and all of them are boys!

Caspir
01-06-2010, 12:20 AM
That sounds like the best answer to me, Mollie. :)

AngelWings
01-07-2010, 09:04 PM

Oooh oooh, I have a guess!

Alright, this one is my new favorite riddles because I didn't get it at first and peeked at the answer. Hopefully one of you will have better luck!

There is a barber who lives in New York City. He remarked to one of his co-workers that he'd rather cut three Canadians' hair than one New Yorker's hair, any day!

Why would that be the case?

Jimm-V
01-10-2010, 08:42 PM
Mollie, your riddle is a tough nut to crack.

Hippie hair and straight hair is all I can think of. Other than this, I don't have a clue.

teasha
01-10-2010, 09:47 PM
Maybe the smog in NY?

Oooh thats a good one!

Jimm-V
01-10-2010, 10:03 PM
Probably, it takes the same time to finish cutting 3 Canadian hairs and one New Yorker hair. The catch is the barber earns triple the money in the same time.

AngelWings
01-10-2010, 10:11 PM
Erm... New yorkers have more hair? :S

teasha
01-10-2010, 10:14 PM
Erm... New yorkers have more hair? :S

lol your funny :D

RosaBianca
01-12-2010, 09:49 PM
JimmV - Hair texture is not a factor.

Teasha - No, smog isn't a factor either.

1212- They would pay exactly the same amount; he has a set price. [Tips aren't a factor either]

JimmV - It would take the same amount of time per person, regardless of nationality.

brazilianangel - Hair length/texture is not a factor.

No one has gotten it yet! Think about it.... Why would a barber rather service three Canadians than one New Yorker?

HINT: ... it's actually a lot simpler than you think...

KatChladek
01-12-2010, 11:29 PM
Would it be that 3 paying customers in one day is better that just one?!? Regardless of where they're from??

juliafan23
01-12-2010, 11:37 PM
get paid more?

Jimm-V
01-13-2010, 12:01 AM
Would it be that 3 paying customers in one day is better that just one?!? Regardless of where they're from??

I have the same thought too !!

The barber wouldn't know the customer's nationalities because they all look alike. He can close shop faster for the day with 3 paying customers than just one customer.

KatChladek
01-13-2010, 12:05 AM
I don't want to miss my turn because I'm going to bed now! So I will assume my answer is correct and post my riddle...If it is not, disregard my riddle!!!!!

Throw away the outside, cook the inside, eat the outside, throw away the inside...what am I?

First he brings the chicken over, leaves it there, and goes back. He then brings the fox over, and brings the chicken back to the other side. He then brings the corn over and leaves it with the fox. He then goes back to get the chicken, and they are all over to the other side. :)

Err, I haven't figure out a prize yet. I'll get back to you on that.

In the meantime, I have been thinking about that riddle for a while, and now it finally hit me. Is it a stapler? I know it sounds silly, but it would make sense. The staples are pointy, it has a lot of force, it staples things that are bloodless (unless you staple yourself, ouch!), and it joins paper. So is it a stapler? :p
