Meyers Parrot

When i went to the petstore to look at the birds, There was a gorgeous bird called the Meyers Parrot. I put my finger near the cage and it came down from it's perch and tried to touch my finger. I also could tell he was trying to Perch up.

Me and my mom thought he was the cutest thing. We went back a weeks later, and he was already gone. Now I'm thinking of getting one, since the description says they are very social! They are 550, which isn't that bad for a bird so cute.

Has anyone had/have one?

They're gorgeous. I've always wanted a parrot. I wouldn't have the time, as I go to school, or the experience to look after one though.

Yes! I can get one when I'm able to pay for it, which, I will beable to get it in about a year or 2!

I do have experience, since I helped my mom train her mustache parakeet. (she was horrible at it) I would have still had it, but it died of an unknown disease.

Wow, lucky you! A year or two will give you plenty of time for research. ;)

Aww Meyer parrots are amazing, aren't they?

I've always wanted this juvenile sun conure at my shop, he was simply stunning. Unfortunately for me, he went to a different family. Fortunate for him though :)

Ohh lucky. When I grow up im sure to get a parrot of some sort. I love the company of a bird already.

oh yes they are beutiful i almost adopted one but they are quite noisey >.< so my mom said no!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually, they tende to be less noisy, mostly only making chirps, chatters, and clicking noises.

I'm probably going to get him/her from a breeder, just so it's already hand tamed, I don't want to have to get bitten

They are expensive compared to budgies and tiels!!

Yeah deffinetly! But it's worth the money. Meyer's parrots like to cuddle and be loved, and I always love to have pets that do that.
