Hello, and welcome to Talk Budgie's Annual Christmas Cage Decorating Competition! * :clap:

We've had this around for a while now, so we thought we'd get our Christmas celebrations kicked off with this easy and fun competition :thumbsup:

The rules are simple ;)

-> Send in a photo of your bird's cage decorated in Christmas or winter things. *
-> All entries are to be sent in to me, and they will be posted on a separate thread as I receive them :)

-> The Deadline of this competition is the 21st of December!

* You can decorate using other winter holiday or general wintery themes. It doesn't have to be exclusively Christmas decorations. I know we have people here from many backgrounds and want to make sure everyone is included. So if you don't celebrate Christmas, your own holiday's theme, or a general winter theme, is acceptable too.

Once the deadline is up, I'll choose the most festive cage design, and the winner will receive 25 Karma Points!! :D

No matter whether you spent an hour, or a day decorating your cage, please send your photos in, we'd love to see them! :)

I tried adding a couple of things to Coacoa's cage today... he got freaked out and refused to go in :XD: So i removed them.. oh well better luck tomorrow right? :D

i have some good ideas for mine! do the budgies have to be in the cage in the photo? i was going to leave the cage open for the photo and im not sure if they will want to stick around.

i will start soon, im waiting til im home alone so i can steal the christmas tree decorations and put them back before anyone notices. hopefully that will be tuesday.

Hmm... we didn't mention that :o It is preferable to see the budgies in their cage but if you can't, then don't worry :)

I sent my entry to Phillip last night but it's not posted yet. I always forget how that time difference between here and Australia works. hee hee

I had my cage in front of the Christmas tree so I hope it is not too busy. You can see all 4 budgies though. :)

Thanks Phillip and Arlene!! I had fun decorating it and the fids have almost completely torn the wicker tree and the wicker cane to bits. They are having a blast. When I first put them in the cage I thought, "Oh their first little Christmas decorations! We will put them up every year." Riiiiight! They are going to be shredded completely before Christmas even gets here. hahaha
