Names?

Could anyone please help me with some suggestions of a name for my new budgie, it has a pale blue chest and sort of grey/blue stripes on the top of the body and a pink cere. Its about 10 weeks old. I have been told that it is female, does this sound right? Thanks

you could call it ice? i like that name for a pale blue budgie.or you could call it belle or tinsle............i have lots of ideas but those suit most.:)

Thanks for your ideas chaxa, I never thought of tinsel or ice, I like them. I'll add them to my names list.

Thanks Amy, but today there cere looks a bit of a different colour, do they change colour? or is it too early to actually tell the sex? The little one (who has no name yet) is only very young.

I hope these pictures of Jasper are clear enough for you to tell me what sex you think he/she is. I'll try and get a good picture of Casper to see what you think to.

No o-o Blue cere is male. Redish Pinkish Brown is female silly! Expect in the Albinos and a few others always have the pinkish cere no gender specific.


Jasper's cere is almost.. purple. Sorry I cant be of much help I see pink/brown and blue.

Eveytime I look at Jasper the cere looks a different colour......ha ha. Maybe I'll just have to wait till he/she is older.

When I first brought home Shiloh an Grace, they both had different colored cere. Grace was blue and Shiloh's was pink.

They have both turned out to be very strong boys :)

Christmas is a young juvenile budgie but I am pretty sure he is a boy as well :)
