As many of you know we held a Casting Call recently and we received three wonderful entries.:) In fact they are all so good that the producers and judges are having a difficult time making a decision that we all agree on so we are counting on Talk Budgie members to help us out!:)

We have posted up the entries without names on purpose so there won't be any bias. We have also posted their blurb as to why they think their Budgie should be Talk Budgie's Next Top Model.:) The poll will be open for voting from Saturday until Monday.

The poll is open to all members for voting with the exception of course of the three potential contestants. All other contestants are also allowed to vote in this poll. The producers and judges may also vote.:)

A reminder: As you consider your vote please don't base your decision mainly on the props and set..it definitely factors in a lot, but also take into consideration each contestants blurb and INTERACTION.

Budgie #1
Blank should be the next top model because he has the attitude of a model. He is gorgeous and he knows it. He loves to show off his pretty feather and strut around all fluffed up. And most of all he just loves the attention and will be a great role model for budgies around the world!

Budgie #2
Blank should be Talk Budgie’s Next Top Model because she is a natural. I have six budgies and all but one are from the same clutch. Blank is by far the shyest and least demanding of my flock. So when I tried to get some shots with each of them to see which budgie I would use as my model, I never dreamed she would even stay on the set. She not only stayed but she completely stole the show. She is such a sweetheart too and very patient with me. Not to mention fearless. She gets that from being the oldest and always taking care of her baby brothers and sister. She never once shied away from the circus elephant or the Buddha. She was actually very interested in Buddha and the whole set. I hope she gets a chance to shine in more photo shoots. I know she can be a star.

Budgie #3
Determined to prove he's worthy of being Talk Budgie's Next Top Model, Blank not only traveled the world; he traveled through time! During his travels, he found himself in Japan during the 1860s, when civil war was rampant. He valiantly fought the Samurai of that era, struggled with the Shinsengumi (the band of Samurai pictured above,) and dealt with some obvious cultural differences during his stay. Although he faced many hardships during his photoshoot, there's one thing that drives him forward; his dream to become the Next Top Model. He continuously perseveres in high hopes that he'll be able to impress the judges, not only with his good looks, but also his spirit and diligence.

That's great!:) The pictures should show the country each contestant is visiting so all three did a good job. See why we were having such a hard time making a choice.:P

Keep in mind guys when voting for a contestant, don't go for a pretty picture. Go for one where you can tell right away where the budgie is and has good interaction! :)

I don't think a vote can be changed once it's been placed.:( I 'm not positive though..so I'll check into it.:)

I say vote for the one you like best. Once the vote is open to the public, each individual needs to chose based on her/his own preference, not on someone else's preference. If we are going to be told how to select the winner, then I just think it should be selected for us.

I chose natural props which depicts the originality of the species, Australia ! The other 2 have no originality but is impressively too. Get the votes up for No. #1.

If anything you could subtract their 2 votes from #2 and count them as #3.

It is REALLY close Stacey! I'm sorry that a couple of you voted for the wrong Budgie, but I seem to remember Dave telling me another time that once a vote is placed it can't be changed..so I would just caution everyone to be more careful..sorry nothing we can do.

Oh Peter I'm sorry that you took my meaning the wrong way. I'm really not trying to tell others how to vote, I was just reminding everyone to take into consideration more than just the props in the photos as interaction is important in the competition. I'm sorry if it sounded like anything other than that as that was not my intention at all.:)

Good point Susan.:) We can do that if everyone else is okay with it. But everyone please be sure and double check before hitting the vote button in the future to make sure your vote is correct.

Thanks Julea!

The first picture is cute

The second picture is original with a GREAT GREAT GREAT set up

The third picture has more of the things we are looking for in top model, interaction with the set, use of props and even camera personality!

I LOVE the second picture, and if it was for beauty picture I would choose it, but the third one has more of what we are looking for.

Interaction is very important for the challenges, but meeting the theme of the challenge is equally important. I think all three did a wonderful job. When I posted this poll I really just meant for everyone to vote not to critique the photos according to what "we" are looking for. It's okay to comment in the way that Bug did, but we save the critiques for the judges.:)

Right now we are at a tie:) Two people say they voted wrong, but I also got a message from Masae yesterday morning letting me know that she accidentally voted for herself right after it happened so I could correct it.:) So That means we will only subtract one vote from Budgie #2 and give to Budgie #3 as the second misplaced vote cancels out the accidental vote placed by Masae. So now it is all worked out.:)

This is the last day to vote everyone! The poll will be closing before Monday morning so Phillip can get the new challenge and eliminations posted on time.:)

Oh no, Suenem, I don't think you said anything wrong. I just think once it's turned over to the public, it just needs to be left up to each person's taste. If you want the decision to be based on certain criteria then it should be made by judges or a panel.
