my budgies do not eat fruits and veggies, I have tried mixing it with their fav. seeds but they dont eat it, and they have gone 2 days without eating just bcuz there is veggies and fruits there. All they ever want to eat is seeds, how else can I feed them fruits and veggies?
try hanging them, maybe thatll work. hope everything works out :)

Just give them food w/o the veggies .I don't think you should leave them w/o food for that long.

Just give them seeds in the morning, and then in the evening replace it with fruits and veggies mixed with seeds. Also try putting the fruits and veggies in a seperate cup, curiosity will soon over come fear.

Training budgies to eat their veggies is tough and requires a lot patience and consistency.
Keep trying. Budgies are very curious animals and will investiagte once they know it is not a threat to them.
How are you preparing your veggies? Some budgies prefer certain foods to be cooked, raw, chopped, or grated.

None of my budgies used to eat their veggies. But one time I put some on the bottom of the cage. Curiosity got the better of them and they decided to have a tiny taste. Soon they were gnawing at it, and they loved it:)

WHAT'S WRONG WITH ME?! The first thing that popped into my mind when I read that was Lunchmeat with a noose around his neck... Don't mind me... he's just being a pain right now.

My budgies used to be on an all seed diet before I came to this site about a year ago. I have been taught that changing a budgies diet is difficult and takes time. I am still trying to get them on vegetables and fruits, but I will tell you what I did with them when I switched them to pellets.
One day this summer, I was going to the pet store to buy some more food for all my pets. I decided that it was time to make my birds diet a little bit healthier. The pellets I bought was supposed to be for my cockatiel, Tweets because the avian vet said it would help with her liver problem. She loved the pellets but occasionally liked seeds. Then I gave the keets pellets in one container, and seeds in the other container. They have 2 water dishes, and 2 food dishes. Since there were 4 keets in the cage, they would all fight for food out of the seed container, but if they were really hungry and didn't feel like fighting then they would eat out of the pellet container. Now they don't really care which one they eat anymore.
My advice for you, is that if you give them a little less seed, and another container right next to the seed with vegetables and fruits everyday, is that you will suceed! All you have to do is be patient, and even if they don't eat it right away, it will take time for them to get used to it first. I would also try to eat the same thing that you are offering them right in front of them so they will be incouraged to try it! That worked for my cockatiel when I started giving her vegetables. Even if you dont like what you're giving them, still try a bit of it!
Hope this helps!
:)
