I agree with redgirl, My three new ones just started to fly back to their cage last week and I have had them Sept. 8th. They finally figure out the way back and didn't like us catching them. Now we can leave the cage door open all day. Jojo whose cage was always open doesn't like to have visitors and that the first place ozi and pud go and they eat jojo food.

Some people's problems with their budgies is that they only fly back to the cage hehe :P
My budgies know where their cage is at all times. The cage can be on the other side of the house, and they will trottle along and end up on top of the cage.
I would make sure the bird knows where is cage is first, and try not to move it so he/she remembers. I also reccommend clipping your birds wings so they cannot fly up to the furniture. Get this done by a vet if you have no clue how to!! Really don't know what else to suggest. My old bird used to know to come to me and I would put him back in his cage.
