When placing a new budgie into quarantine, thought to be healthy, has anyone had it come down with a sickness? If so, what was the budgie sick from and at what stage in quarantine did you first notice the symptoms? What were those symptoms?

I adopted Bubblegum from the RSPCA and put her in quarantine for 4 weeks. She was very alert, had healthy poops, ate well and made a lot of budgie noises. She looked very healthy.
On the third week of quarantine she suddenly vomited a sticky white liquid everywhere. She was rushed to the avian vet where a few tests were done. Turns out that Bubblegum had a LOT of intestinal worms. So many that it had made her physically sick. She was on the brink of dying from it.
Luckily she pulled through and her quarantine was extended for another 4 weeks. If I didn't quarantine I would have had to pay five times as much money at the vet to treat all my budgies! And I might have lost some of them too. :(
