What's the funniest thing your budgies have done?
Billy has regurgitated on my Mum's head, that was pretty funny!
And Lily, well, when they were younger they used to fall asleep on their swings, both of them liked the one with beads on so Lily, when Billy had fallen asleep on it, she'd sit on the beads going up the side!
So, what's the funniest thing your budgies have done?
Well Blinkie is hilarious all the time, VERY hard to pick a funniest moment. Although when he's being naughty he gets very rude: if i want him to hop in his cage and he decides it's not cage time yet he flies around my head in circles landing on his cage between laps, everytime he lands he does a happy dance followed by a maniac laugh. You can just tell that he knows he's being VERY NAUGHTY!!! Funniest thing Ozzie's done was probably this morning. He and Blinkie were playing on the lounge leaning across to play with the curtains. Then Blinks must have annoyed Oz cause everytime Blinks approached Oz he'd get a full on charge from Ozzie - wings up, beak open, squawking - very funny!! Ozzie looked so hilarious! Tonight they were have a 'who can kiss Bea the most' contest. Ozzie was preening my eyelashes and Blinks was nibbling my lip. Then Oz would take over my lip and Blinks would run off to sulk and get my attention. I of course babied him and told him that he's such a sexy boy and gave him lots of kisses and then Oz would get jealous!! I thought that was pretty funny. :p
A few years ago, back when Jibby and Budgie were still alive, whenever my aunt went on vacation she'd bring her budgie, Baby, over for us to birdsit. Well, our budgies were friends with him. So we'd put the two cages together, with the doors next to each other. We open both doors to both cages and they'd jump back forth from cage to cage. It was the funniest thing.
The best part of the story is what Jibby did one time. Budgie always had trouble with doorways. She could never really find it. She'd go around it, above it, below it, etc. So Jibby went to the door and started jumping back and forth from cage to cage, looking at Budgie each time he did it and chirping a little. What he was doing (we think) was showing Budgie how to use the doors! It was the funniest thing! He'd jump in and out of the doorway, and he'd look at Budgie each time he did it. The whole time, Budgie was watching him too. So Jibby was trying to teach Budgie how to use the doors! :D
Aww that's really sweet! (And funny!)

The funniest thing that Petri has done, he did last night ^^ He was perched on my shoulder, than moved to my shirt o.O and nibbled on my necklace, and my baby brother Andy (who is about 16 months now) was standing in front of me. Petri flew and landed and just sat on Andy's head! I was like O.O! And Andy just stood there smiling like it was the best thing EVER. My Mom was like : O.o :P And then when I went to get Petri down from the ledge of the doorway, (he tends to perch on my arm when I call him...sometimes :P But this time he perched on my head too, and looked down at me like : Mwa hahaha! Mike was like : He's trying to make a nest in your hair. Me : o.o Oh my GOSH! But I let him hang out up there till he wanted to come down and play with my FACE (my glasses, to be more precise) :P XD
That's so funny. Looks like he enjoys heads and hair. :P
He should be a hairdresser!
One of my budgies flew straight into a door and fell.Stupid budgie...lol
Oh dear, is he/she alright?

My budgies haven`t done much except that penelope(my budgie that can fly) flew up onto a curtain and so Bob (the one that can`t fly) woulden`t be lonly I put him up on the curtain so he runs over to her and pecks at her because he is kinda like a bully and she simple flys over to his other side and he does it again so she flys onto the other side and keeps changing sides for like 10 minites untill she gets sick of it and flys back to the cage.

Well I wouldn't consider any of my budgies super funny, but I chuckle when they end up hanging upside down in their hamster wheel. Somehow they seem to get attached to the side and the thing starts rocking back and forth. Next thing you know - they are upside down rocking back and forth. It is quite comical. I can never seem to get the camera soon enough to get a picture.
Aww you guys have fun birdies :) My budgie doesnt do too much yet. :( Well I have another cute story about my moms birds.
She has two lovebirds named peep and squeek (lol I know :p) anyways so she lets them out to fly and they go to my budgies cage and back to thiers. When they are on the top of their cage, they bite my moms blinds because they can see trees. Lol then my mother freaks out on them and shakes the blinds a bit. Then they fly over to my budgies cage again.
The lovebirds are so comical :) They bite my budgies tail all the time. They are jelous of the long tail feathers. :D Also whenever I let my budgie out to mingle with them, her birds just go inside my budgies cage and sit there. They also go and eat her food. Lol as if they miss the smaller cage.
The funniest is when they bite her tail though :D
How funny! That sounds great!

That is so funny! Wouldn't it be strange if tissues could do that?

The funniest thin Snow ever done was dance on my arm. She was chirping and flapping its wing while shuffling from side to side, I wish I can find a pic on that...

Have you ever seen a cat drop its jaw? I didn't, but my husband did. Ginger, the cat, was eating her food and Budgie got on the floor and started to walk towards her. Ginger turned her head, saw Budgie, her jaw dropped and food fell out. Budgie has also just landed in Ginger's food dish, I guess she figures if someone is eating it, then it must be good and she wants some. She has also tried to preen the cat.
She once landed on my husbands spoon as he was eating his cereal.
She likes inspecting his teeth, especially after he just brushed.
The thing we laugh at most is when we have our pigeon out. He likes to land on the budgies cage, and when he does that, little Pico will stretch himself as t-a-l-l as possible and try to defend his territory. Oh,it's so adorable to see little ol' pico trying to challenge great, big, ol', humunganous, Squabbles (our boy pigeon)! Ha-Ha-Ha!!
That's too funny about Ginger, the cat (lol)! I used to have rats that would play with my cats, but I had to stop it when my cat made one of the rats squeek too loudly!

One of the funniest things my birds do is when Patrick is trying to eat, Spike runs over and stands in the food and makes Patrick preen his feathers before she can eat again!
The funniest thing Star ever did was bite Sassy(my dog) RIGHT on the nose! Star was eating and her cage was on the floor since I was cleaning her table. Sassy sneaked over and stuck her nose in the cage. I wasn't paying much attention and I told her to stop. The funniest part is that Sassy acts like an "all-tough-don't-mess-with-me" type dog. Okay anyway, like said, I told her to stop. She never listens and Star bravley flew over and BIT her softly on the nose as a punishment. Sassy cried and yelped as if she had been shot in the face!! I will always believe the saying "curiousity killed the cat" but in this case it's a dog. Sassy has certainly learned her lesson and will NEVER bother Star agian.(I hope lol):)

Well i dont own any budgies anymore but when i had my very first budgie, pongo i would often let him play with my sisters bird, jewel who was also a budgie,it was yellow budgie it was quite nice looking actually anyway they were good freinds They would chase each other around the top of there cage which was kinda funny. We always thaught jewel was a female thats why my sister named it jewel and she was trying to make my budgie who was male and hers to mate, and i didnt know much about bidgies at the time since i was only like 9 years old, so i couldnt really say anything, so anyway it turned out when my sister asked the petstore why her our two brids werent mating, the petsore person replied well to start off they are both males. I thaught that was so funny i could have even told her thaught now lol but of course i was young so i dint know much about budgies lol. they were still great freinds though.(by the way im 14 now dont know why i decided throw that in but i just thaught you have wanted to know my age lol) so my sister had a male bird named jewel, what great name for male(NOT!).

Billy used to come out when he wanted and sat on the curtain rail. It was only when we discovered lots of bits of papaer on the ground we realised he had pecked off a pile of wallpaper!
Dinky
07-05-2006, 04:29 PM
My little family of budgies is funny in that Carmen (dad) and Dinky (baby) both want C.C. (mom) to pay more attention to them. If Carmen is sitting by CC and Dinky wants to, he'll go on the other side and start preening her head and neck and work his way in between them. If Dinky is closer, Carmen will just stand on Dinky's back until he moves over so he can sit by his mate, like he's saying, "my turn now". Then he preens and nuzzles with mom. They are a happy little family.
Oh, how sweet!:budge: :budgie: :budge:

I remember once, i was in the shower quite happy washing my hair... Then out of nowhere something hit me in the face and landed on my shoulder. I turned to see Bert there! You should have seen his face when he was hit by the water.!
There was a spider in his cage (Green was'nt bothered lol) and he had flew straight out of his cage into the next room - the bathroom!

ha ha, he was afraid of a spider?! imagine that-- a bird afraid of a spider! that's too funny!!:p

Well, he was smart to be scared of the balloons!;)
pal0m1n0

The mention of the baloons reminded me of something funny Pepper had done. One day we had a baloon with helium in it and a string ribbon hanging to the floor. Pepper spent quite a bit of time trying to pull the string into into the cage. She could actually lower the balloon quite a bit but then it would go back up into the air if she let the ribbon go even a little.
That's so cool. I betcha cats would love that too!

The funniest things I've ever seen didn't happen with my budges but with my cockatiel Leon. Leon loved my cat Villain. He would sit for hours trying to preen Villain. Well then one day I realized just how much Leon Loved Villain. We he tried to mate with Villain.
You're joking, really! Lol, what interesting babies! Lol!!

My bird Patrick tries to get in the cage by going through the silo feeder! She pushes it and tries to get the cap off and it is very funny. My birds don't know how to get back in their cage. That's where they want to be, but they climb down the sides of the cage and rub their heads on the top until I finally decide to put them in myself!

Actually my ex bird has lots of funny stories and hre's the one, when I was like 15, I was sitting in our new, white couch which mum had been really taking care to keep it clean! I wasv watching tv and eating a chocolate cake, my bird had a habit like he wanted to eat or drink whatever edible he sees in my hand, if I dont share with him, he used to attack to my mouth to get it lol :D ... anyway, he came to my shoulder. and in a second he jumped right into the middle cake and all of his feet and body became chocolate!, when I try to take him out he escaped and stepped into the white couch and walked. there were tiny foot prints in the couch that looked very funny :D mum got crazy about it of course.. bird tried to eat the chocolate on his foot, I got so scared that he'd got ill but luckily nothing happened. Or maye I gave him some medicine as a caution I dont remember that part.
Well all i can say as in funny is watching sonic trying to "do " his toys if you know what the " do" mean in that way. Its nasy but at lease he is not trying to "do" that with lilly.

One time, Baby was sitting on her swing and was about to fall asleep. Then Cutie (now named Chico...because of a gender mistake) jumped up on the swing and Baby was hanging upside down! When she realized she couldn't get back up, she used her wings to land upright. In the end, Baby ended up sleeping ona perch and Chico on the swing.

The funniest thing my budgies have ever done and still constantly doing it is fall asleep on their swing together with leaning on each other or beaks together. :D
Well and Benny trying to catch the yo yo even though he's in the cage! :)
All these stories are soo sweet.
Star did something really funny today. She tried opening her cage door and had it up a little when she thought she could stop for a minute and it would stay like that. It went down and made a really loud noise. She was so mad and astonished! She made the "mad budgie" sound LOL!
The funniest thing my budgie did was under the side table we have these hooks and round circle designs. Well Kiwi was playing around and then he decided to go in to the circles backwards! It was so cute i was eating wen i heard chirping i checked on Kiwi and i saw him hanging upside down stck it was so funny wen he got out he wanted to try again lol!

Hah!That's cute. The funniest thing my Skye has done, was yesterday. She was playing with her favorite toy, and it has a little bell at the end that she LOVES. Well, she decided to be Ms. Curiosity and finally check out the rest of her toy, but unfourtanley she couldn't reach. So I was just sitting there and she randomly goes on top of the cage like a bat, and reaches down to play with the toy. It was so funny! She looked dumbfounded, in awe, like she was saying: "Whoaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa." LOL! So then October got mad, I don't know why, so he shrieked at her until she got down and when she did, October would preen her like he was worried that she'd die!:p I love my birds. xxx

Harry used to go upstairs at night for bed. He would let us know when he was ready and I would carry his cage up with him sitting on top! He would decide if this was where he wanted to sleep on any particular night, if he wanted to go back downstairs later before we settled he had ways of letting me know and I would carry him back down for sleepytime (I was his willing slave :) ) Well this one time we were having a new door between the stairs and living room, to keep Harry in the living room while the door was off I hung a curtain over the doorway, it didn't quite meet the floor, fell about 1 foot short. So this one evening Harry decided he was ready for bed a little early, he flew to a chair by the doorway, flew down to the floor, walked under the curtain and flew upstairs to our bedroom and perched on a wall mirror that he always favoured! As well as funny I think that was also very smart of him! :D

my boy plays soccer with his plastic ball with a bell inside. (i'm sure you all have that toy; it seems to be ubiquitous, lol) he also FLIPS upside down and plays with his ball on the floor of the cage, literally doing somersaults--and preening his stubby little wings at the same time.
sometimes he flips so quickly I'm almost scared that he'll break his scrawny little neck! :P

My budgie Brighty is named after a bird that my Pa had when he was in college and Pa's Brighty used to stick his head behind my Pa's glassses, and then my Pa's Brighty would pull his head out from behind the glasses and start shaking his head. As soon as he felt that his sight was back to normal he would do it again. I sometimes let my Brighty sit on my shoulder while I am playing violin. One time Brighty decided to fly from my right shoulder to the tip of my bow where he balanced flapping through about half of one of my pieces and then took off flying around the room yellin ack ack ack. He was really mad that his "perch" wouldn't sit still.:budgie:
McFly is an absolute riot to watch while he's out and about. He'll talk back to the TV, go crazy if I play any budgie videos on youtube, and play cat rodeo.
Cat rodeo is one of his newest games, and my husband and I are simply amazed at the fact that my cat and my bird get along. They even seek out eachother's company to play. Usually, when my cat Cheshire isn't expecting it, McFly will hop onto some part of Cheshie's body and either use it as a springboard, or hang on for the ride when my cat hops up and tries to run away. I'll have to attempt to get video of it, 'cause it's a riot.
And no worries about safety. They are only allowed to play under my supervision. Cheshie is very good with McFly and plays with no claws or biting.

My one budgie, Sunny, holds the "funniest story" in our house.
They love it when I cut up cardboard loops and hang them in their cage. So once they chewed one off and it was sitting on the bottom of the floor. Sunny then decided to pick it up in her beak and procede to strut around the cage with her "prize". She would bang it against things, and chase Dizzy with it, then if she'd drop it, she'd stop, look, then quickly run down and get it! It the funniest thing, I've got a video clip of it that I ought to upload.

My Sakis did funny things all the time! But I think the funniest moment was when, during he was out of his cage, I ate cereals with my milk and he jumped into the bowl and started to wash his self with the milk! So I called him "Cleopatra" and I started to laugh!
And also many times he entered my dad's sleeper and he started to speak loudly, like a president or something!
I really miss him..

She'd never seen curly hair before, so Lily was completely "shocked" and curious, she even tried to taste it! Same thing happened with an indoor shoe in my room, my three birds were in my room, and they were on the floor, then I think maybe it was Greeny, he tried to eat my shoe's laces!

Years ago my husband and I had just got a new bird and we had let it out to explore. We decided to play monopoly. The bird was quite curious and landed on the table. He sat there and watched us play for quite some time. Then suddenly he decided he was going to play too. He jumped onto the board, grabbed the dice and began throwing it around. He knocked over all the houses and hotels and began trying to shred the money. He got his name of Godzilla that night.
He was by far the friendliest, most fearless budgie I ever owned. That was the first night in our house and he had to be in the middle of things from day 1.
You could never play any type of board game or cards when Zilla was out. The second you began to deal he would be on the table flipping the cards over as fast as he could. I used to leave dice on the coffee table for him to play with. I bet I could have got him a job in Vegas.
We would put him in is cage when we played and he would pace back and forth squawking at us. He was such a fun bird.

You just brought back a memory of the bird I had when I was a teen. I had a decorative glass that always sat on my desk. Petey loved to perch on it and he would often stick his head in and twitter. They must like the way it sounds. Thanks for the memory!

Well my funniest happening was when i had had left the cage door open and i left (you see bluey is not settled in yet so i leave the cage door open for him to have a little fly)and he would sit on my book shelf and when i come back into my room he would squark (giving me the shock of my live)and if that was not enought he would swoop down and land on top of my head and stay there until i liftt him off!!!:D

My budgie is sooo funny when he is in the garden. He walks around the garden for hours (only when supervised of course and he has clipped wings) and he only poos in one place. In a small pot plant on the corner of the garden. He dosn't poo anywhere else. It is quite amazing!

one of the funny things that happened to me...that i have once put 2 cages beside each other ...a big cage and a smaller one...the small one had 2 young males and the other had a male and a hen...one of the males that were in the smaller cage would spend all his day ( for a whole 3 days) climbing on the cage bars that were close to the big cage from up to down ..down to up,trying to get out of the cage and go to the big one until after 3 days i got fed up with him..poor thing and opened the doors to both cages at the same time and he flew right into the big cage ...after he ent in he fluffed up his feathers and looked proud then looked to the other male who was in the small cage like he was saying" didnt i tell u that i will find the secret door to the BIIG cage?! arent i just smart?" he was thinking that he did it and found the secret door way! hah! Silly boy!

Kang and Kodos do so many funny things. They're not all that tame, but they definitely keep me entertained. Here are a few of the things they do:
1. When I give them broccoli sometimes Kang gets too excited to eat it. He gets all flirty (he's never tried to mate with the broccoli, but he seems to get pretty close to doing that) and stands on top of the broccoli, head feathers puffed up and pupils all tiny, chirping happily. The best part is Kodos getting all angry and lunging at him - Kodos just wants to eat his veggies!
2. When Kodos plays with his toys he goes a little bit crazy. He'll pick it up in his beak and swing it around as hard as he can. It looks pretty funny.
3. Kang loves to scratch his head on anything and everything. He usually goes to his manzanita branch, which has lots of convenient nubs, but sometimes he tries to use his toys. He'll grab the toy with one foot and rub his head against it. He looks so happy when he does this!
4. For some reason, Kang does not like to perch on bowls, especially his water bowl. We put a rope perch near the water bowl to make it easier to reach, so he'll sit on the perch and stretch his head out and over the bowl edge to drink. This looks really uncomfortable. He tries to do this with bowls of veggies, but he usually can't reach.
5. We have a little bathtub that they both love to use. Since it's actually bathtub-shaped, they can't open their wings while they're in the water (we're going to try a larger, shallower bowl instead). This doesn't stop Kodos from trying! He'll sit in the bathtub and stretch and shake out his wings, as if they're actually in the water. He'll do this over and over, probably wondering why they never manage to get wet.
6. Okay, last one - their cage is set up in front of a window. There's one particular bird who likes to perch on a signpost that's just outside the window. The budgies have decided this bird is their nemesis. Whenever he shows up, they get really upset, flying to the cage wall and acking. They don't stop until he flies away. It's pretty funny.
Okay, I'd better stop. Budgies are such little clowns, aren't they?

Once Macadamia and Ozzie were kissing and playing around and whenever another hen came along Macadamia would puff up and squak her head off and chase her away and when a cock came near Ozzie would puff up and squak his head off.One day Squeak(another cock in cage) approached from one side and Crumble(another hen in cage) appraoched from another.they wanted to get revenge on the couple so squeak and crumble charged and then both macadamia and ozzie just cocked their heads to one side as if "what on earth are you doing?????" Squeak fell of the perch with suprise (literally!!!) and crumble ozzie and macadaima all looked down at him as if saying "what are you doing down there?????" it was SO funny:laughing:

The funniest thing Dio has done... I laughed so hard, I nearly cried.
I have a vertical cage, so the perches are tiered for easy access. On the second to lowest, I draped a tissue over it. Dio loves to destroy tissues. He hopped down to the lowest perch and streeeeeeeeetched his neck trying to bite at it, streeeeetching...streeeeeeeetching...no luck! So he decided to make a jump for it. That's a smart step forward, but Dio sort of forgot that he weighs more than a tissue. Even though he managed to get a beak full of tissue, he pulled it down and fell on his back! Instantly, he flew up to the top of cage with that look of, "I have done no such thing! I meant to do that....really..."

They always seem to look around afterwards don't they, checking if anyone saw?
:budgie:
Jo jumped off the swing this morning, it then hit him and he fell off. he grabbed the nearest perch, then scrambled back with a quick look to check noone saw him.
I keep writing he and I probably shouldn't as we think he is a she. Oops.
:budgie:
Jo and Scoob always fly up onto the bars above the curtains and eat the wallpaper. my dad tries to get them down and they just run along. It's hilarious.:laughing2:
:budgie:
Jo also likes to sit on the landing perch and play with the door. Scoob tends to get in the bath with him as well, then they have an argument.
:budgie:
That's probably enough stories. Budgies are always doing something funny!

The funniest thing eh? Let me think................
Well whenever I let the birds out in the morning and I'm refilling their pellets with a bit of seed Bou swarms me. lol. He just flys right at my face and at the dish, and keeps dive bombing me as I turn around trying to stop him.He really likes his bit of seeds he gets so hes trying to get the seeds before the others lol. Also if I'm holding onto another budgie Bou gets interested and he dive bombs me and tries to land on the birds head, so I have to keep shooing him away. He always has to be the center of attention.
Well Serenade sits with her head up for hours at a time, It's cause shes "special" and sometimes she actually turns it almost all the way around.
Ollie always hogs the bath. Whenever I put the bath in she unfolds her wings a bit as if she's protecting it, and screeches when any other budgie comes by. Even when shes done her bath she gets jealous if another budgie is there and chases them off lol.
Tami's my personal favourite budgie. She puts one foot above her an the top of the cage and one below and does these somersaults, then she stops after a few and starts "laughing" she loves to do it when were watching her. Its like shes saying "LOOK AT ME, LOOK AT ME, LOOK WHAT I CAN DO!" lol.
Spartan is kind of a fuddy duddy she just kind of sits there and has never been an excitable bird, but she likes to fly alot. You know how some cages have insertable food dishes?Well my budgies learned to push those out to escape. So I put a flexible wire up(not that flexible though) and there's alot stopping a bird from exiting the holes. She's learned to push the wires open and slides out through a tiny hole. I've got it fixed so she couldn't but I thought "that bird is smart!"
Cooler is crazy. He does a little dance where he jumps from pole(with spartan) to fgood dish, to water dish, to another pole, to the floor, climbs up the side to the first pole, preens spartans head for a sec, and then does the routine like five more times, chirping all the while.

Well when my baby budgie Skylar was out I turned on the laptop and played a keet chirping away.Well Skylar darted for the laptop and perched on top of it.He kept on chirping back to the bird vid and looking for it.He looked down and there on the screen was the bird!He couldn't get through the screen though, lol!
Sorry, that isn't TOO funny but I've only had Skylar for 3 months, and he is a baby.I will be posting pictures of that cute baby skylar.

My budgie Alfie, when I bought him I chose him because he was this little baby and he kept trying to stand on his brother and sister's tails. Now that he's a year old and with my flock, is still likes stepping on everybody. I think he tried to land on Misty's head once. So cute!

Thomas was always up for trying any food or drink, as long as I tested it first. I could put a piece of carrot in front of him and he'd be scared but if I took a bite he would dive in and eat the whole piece.
We have a small fish tank with two goldfish in it, and Thomas enjoyed landing on top and watching them throug the glass, was funny to watch.
there is so much more....
Sunny has only recently started exploring a bit more outside his cage. I put down some of those cat ball toys with bells in the middle down for him. He went to pick one up and when he did the bell jingled and he jumped the highest I've ever seen him go! He then ran over to his mama to be picked up and put on the bed with her. He looked at me as if to say "It was very scary! Honest!".
So cute! :D
I can only think of 2 things lulu has done.
1) I was standing in front of the cage one night, and she raised her foot up in front of her, and it seemed as if she was waving it at me in and up and down motion. I thought it was cute
2) She'll be scratching herself, but she'll lose her balance (or at least it looks like it) and almost fall off the perch. But she'll regain composure and pretend like nothing happened.

My last budgie Joey used to have his cage in the living room of our old house, and it was a huge room with fairly high ceilings.
Anyway, there was a long nail coming out of one wall, which we used to hang our dartboard on, but took it down after a while.
Joey used to fly from his cage and land on the nail, and each time he did this he would slip upside down on the nail and stay that way for about ten seconds before letting go and then flying the right way up again to his cage!!! :D

And Joey used to LOVE water so much that whenever I was drinking from a glass of water (no matter how narrow!) Joey would attempt to get INSIDE the glass, just to get water all over himself! LOL!

I just saw my budgies bob their heads along to music for the first time today. They were chirping along cutely and going mad with the head bobbing, it was adorable! ^-^ I couldn't stop laughing watching them!
Also, the first time we let Domino and Icarus out of their cage together, they started following each other around and trying to perch in the same places. This got to the point where Icarus landed on the curtain rail, and Domino landed on Icarus! :P

Stitch likes to bob his head when i bob mine next to the cage. He jumped on a swing and it was swinging pretty roughly but he was holding on and was performing his own opera, like he does when he is hyper. i bobbed my head and he stopped singing and tried to bob his head. He lost balance from the swing and head bobbing and fell off with an angry "Ack Ack Ack"
He sat on another perch and fluffed up his feathers as though to say "i meant to do that"

I've only had Russell a few days, but the funniest thing so far he/she has done is acting like a bat/spider and climbing every where, but the one that had me in fits is when he/she went to jump on the swing, and over calculated the jump. Russ jumped straight over it and onto the floor of the cage. Gawd I laughed.
I can't really remember any stories of my old budgies cept one.
Dad brought home a budgie from his work - a primary school, cos it wasn't getting along with the other budgie - Mr Biggles (HORRIBLE name). Anyway. Several months later, dad brought home Biggles cos noone took him for the school holidays.
Well, who would have thought that Fred and Biggles had ever fought with eachother. Fred flew on top of Biggles's cage, and went in it. And he did this all the time. And they just sat there, talking to eachother, the little *** lovers <3
When Biggles went back, Fred was drepressed. A week later, Fred flew away. The next day, so did Mr Biggles. We like to think they met up :)

A few months ago I was getting ready to go to a friend's house to stay for a few days and I was going to take my Rosie & Blueky along as well. My friend arrived earlier than expected to pick us up in her car, but the birds were out of their cage. Neither Rosie or Blueky are hand-tame but I managed to get Rosie to go into the cage fairly easily. However, when I tried to get Blueky to do the same, he flew straight onto my friend's shoulder, (who was also in the room). Blueky has never done anything like that with me in the 3 & half years that I've owned him. I thought, "What a traitor !!!" :D

Wow, this is a tough one as I find my budgies funny on a daily basis.
I guess the one that sticks out in my mind with Ciara was the morning I opened up her cage to let her out and for some reason, she kept sizing me up (normally she goes over to Milo's cage to greet him) and flew and perched on my nose! What makes it even funnier is Ciara has taken quite some time to be comfortable stepping up and/or perching on me in the first place. It didn't take long before she realized it wasn't a great perch.
Milo...that is tough as he is quite the little clown. One thing that sticks out for me, probably because it has only happened twice since I have had him, is when he attacked my toes. I have a recliner by the birds' cages and of course, I am their human play gym. :D Milo likes to waddle up and down my legs and one day he attacked my big toe with a vengance! I tried to shake him off, but wow, was he ever persistent! LOL Most times when I sit there and have my legs up, I have a blanket over my legs.

My Budgie Tiko loves to annoy my Cockatiel and Princess Parrot whenever they are near each other. He runs backwards and forwards to them and it really annoys them a lot. They try to bite him but Tiko is just too quick, it's pretty funny to watch sometimes. He also loves to fly up onto my dinner plate when I am having dinner which is cute but can be a pain! He loves to eat whatever I eat but I don't let him half the time because it would be no good for him, I do give him some peas from time to time though.
He loves to go crazy on his little swing as well, that's great to watch. Tiko does a lot of funny things, he's one crazy little fellow.

my budgie pecky loves to get in our breakfast, lunch and dinner, no matter what we have he's there wanting it like there's no tomorrow! so last night he hops onto the edge of my pasta bowl, takes a nibble which dislodges some steam from underneath and then proceeds to swear his little beak off at me, has another go and realises that yes indeed that pasta is hot and swears again at me and then takes off down the hallway like a mad budgie swearing all the way! Why is it he does not learn his little lesson, he's done it maybe 4 times previous to that. Naughty budgie. He loves orange juice and sits on the edge of our glass, I'm so worried he'll fall in one day! He also tries to preen the cat and dog without much success.

hmm with my budgies would have to be from my favourite budgie who passed away 4 years ago.. My little cousin (who lived with my family) she used to be obsessed with barbie, she had it all, kitchen, bedroom even a play ground. My budgie Kika would climb the slide and slide down. It took me a couple of days to teach her to slide down, she liked the climbing but didnt like the sliding down part! She was the best budgie i ever had, she used to chase the other 2 budgies out of the cage. She was tiny while the other 2 were big and strong males but that didn't stop little Kika from chasing them out. :P Now with this budgie i have Kiki she flew onto my mom's head and was picking at her hair, it was funny/cute.

My two previous budgies had a lot of funny moments, real characters. One that springs to mind was a trick Fern (the older one) pulled several times on Lily when she was young. Lily would be sat on her perch, half asleep. Fern would look at her, shuffle sideways along the perch until she was next to Lily, then turn round, lean right down, grab Lily's tail and pull! Mean to laugh I know, it's just the memory of Lily suddenly waking up, flapping and shouting furiously at Fern as she tried to regain balance. They actually got along really well, especially as Lily got older, but just had the odd moment.
Another time, Fern was perched on the edge of the water bowl. Suddenly down comes Lily, perches on cage bars just above Fern; Fern turned, flapped and swore at her, before involuntarily taking a quick bath as she had forgotten about the water bowl!

What's the funniest thing your budgies have done?
And Lily, well, when they were younger they used to fall asleep on their swings, both of them liked the one with beads on so Lily, when Billy had fallen asleep on it, she'd sit on the beads going up the side!
All three of my budgies and my tiel Rock sleep in their swings. It is adorable.

Remembered another incident, actually very scary at the time but hilarious when I look back on it!
Fern and Lily became quite used to travelling, as they went through several house moves with me in a fairly short time. They travelled together in a small cage with 1 perch, to restrict their flapping around & avoid hurting them. They would keep up a fairly steady conversation throughout the journey, chattering away to each other.
On the final house move, I realised halfway through my journey, while on the M6, that I could only hear Lily chirping, not a peep from Fern. I kept listening, still nothing, and got so worried that I stopped at the next (fortunately close) service station, to check on them. By this point I was fearing the worst.
What do I see when I peer in through the gaps in the carrier? Lily sat on the perch, still chattering away. Fern...Fern was on the floor of the cage, stuffing her face with seed, which was why I hadn't heard a sound out of her. Not too bothered by car travel then!!
Sounds like a lot of people's budgies are well practised at cuteness!

BTW my current budgies, Calypso and Denver, have started sleeping in their swings as well; there are 2 swings in there, and each bird always selects the same one! They are there now, sweet the way each seems to have their favourite.

I've only had my parakeets a couple of weeks now so I haven't accumulated too many funnies yet, but I am sure they are to come! However, something funny that they do is that Fergie likes to chew on the wood of the birdie gym I bought them and the part she chews is bright blue and it ends up turning her beak all blue! Then she preens Will's yellow head and turns his feathers green! It's really funny! (I wouldn't think the blue dye would be toxic at all because it is a gym meant for them.... What do you think?)

i think the most amusing thing that ive had happen was a couple of months ago, just after id had their wings clipped. i was walking around with my budgies on my shoulders and was talking to the house cleaner in the bathroom which is about half way down the hallway. my mum is at one end and asks me if they can fly yet. i told her dusty couldnt at all and that fluff still wasnt getting to far either. ive then picked fluff up off my shoulder n gone "see" n tossed him lightly into the air. he's taken off, flown right to the end of the hallway and landed in my mum's nose. she hardly has anything to do with my budgies so the look on her face was priceless...

I think the funniest thing one of my budgies did was done by the first budgie I ever had.
I was eating Frosted Cherrios with Pudgie on my shoulder. He was tweeting in my ear and I figured he might appreciate looking at his reflection in my spoon so I put the spoon up for him to look at. When I put it back to eat some more Cherrios, Pudgie jumped off my shoulder to follow the spoon!:D
Needless to say, I got another bowl of Cherrios, but the experiance was priceless! Silly little boy. ^_^

Oh my goodness, I would have to say when Kiwi was flying around her training room and I called her name. She glanced at me for like 1 second and she went SMACK into the wall behind the computer desk, lol. I was like OMG, is she OK!! I crawled under the desk to find Kiwi in the dark shaking her head and trying to muster up what happened, lmao! She looked at me tilted her head and let out a really confused sqwak, I almost died laughing at her!! She was really easy to catch after because it was really dark under the desk, but man I knows she doesn;t have the CUTEST personality! (Don't worry shes abousoulty fine :D)

Speedy is the most legendary Budgie in my eyes, she was such a character (RIP Little Baby) Anyway I have videos of her going crazy at her ladder with the bell on it, also another with a toy which has spinny bells on it, she was a funny booger.
ANYWAY, each day was funny in its own right, but on this one occasion I was eating my breakfast with Speedy on my shoulder and had only just sat down, she would run down my chest and jump onto the side of my bowl, I would pick her up after a while and put her back on my shoulder, we did this about three times until she must have cracked the poos with me and ran down my chest yet again, this time jumping onto the side of my bowl, pausing for a moment and then promptly bombied into my cereal as if to say "MUM I want to SHARE! Share Mum share!" So on this day Speedy was Cleopatra having milk baths and all :D God I miss that little baby!
