hi what do you do with parent birds who feather plucked the young from the second round i had to take them away at 4 weeks waiting for the feathers to grow again???????? carol nicmarly

i think you have to take away the parent that is plucking and leave the other parent to carry on feeding but im not 100% sure on that!

If both parents are plucking them, then you must foster them to another pair that are also breeding.
If only one does, i would agree with Miss Parakeet and say to leave the "good" parent in to do the feeding and take the other one out :)
Hope the babies will be ok!

yes finally the babes feathers have grown again. unfortunatly i dont know which one of the parents plucked or both so i will have to refrain from using them again shame as they did brilliant with the first round of chicks:
