I don't know what this fruit is called in english (my parents always say it in Turkish :p). I was just wondering if budgies can eat this. Also, if anyone knows what it is called?

(By the way it's fresh, After a while the outside of the fruit looks bad but inside it's the exact same.)

Looks like a pomegranate to me.

I'm pretty sure you can feed this to your budgies. It's filled with seeds.

Mavish looks exceptionally cute :)

Mavish is very cute.

Could you PM me that food list you have or a link to it. I'm assuming that if the guinea pig can eat it the bird can eat it but I just want to make sure. :)

It's on lots of lists I have seen on what budgies can eat. I tried them on our budgies the other week and they looked at them, had a quick lick and ran away in disgust, not impressed! They will try most things we give them and I think bananas are the only things that they really hate, they go mad, I think they even hate the smell.

Why would you eat them with a needle?? I just pop all the red things off into a bowl and eat with a spoon. I have seen a tip where you can hold it under water to take apart and it is less messy.

Did you know that grenadine is made from pomegranite? Pomegranite juice has become widely available here, as well as blueberry juice since it is supposed to be especially good for you. Also pomegranite is one of the earliest known cultivated fruits. Some people believe it is the actual apple of the garden of eden. In mythology, Persephone was trapped in Hades when she ate some pomegranite. She was allowed to return once a year and this represents spring.
