Hey guys! I'm back. Well probably only the members who were here since the beginning remember me? Well anyways, I haven't had good experiences breeding my parakeets, so this is my final try to it.

1. Polly = eggbound
2. Mika = something with having the egg inside her with no shell, i don't know what it's called, we took her to the vet.

Well, i'm taking all the necessary precautions this time, and just today put tiki the male and tootsie the female in the breeding cage. They are preening each other/feeding each other yada yada, haha, and I will give updates as to whether or not this is a failed attempt once again.. :o

Have you tried to give your budgies cuttle fish ,crushed egg shells and a iodene block all contain calcuim which they need to produce strong egg shells,,by the way your budgie may no lay fertile eggs after being egg bound,,

they've had those all their lives, and i'm not breeding the one that was eggbound. Tootsie hasn't bred before.

So eggy #1 is on its way here, Tootsie has the tail bob and she looks *eggnant*. haha. But the problem is that she doesnt go into the nest box, Tiki, the male does constantly and he seems to be encouraging her to come in.

also, i put some oil on her vent to help her pass the egg(:
