:cool: Hey guys,
Tuffy= I've had him for 3 to 4 weeks

I just wanted to tell everyone a little update on my Budgie, Tuffy. He is getting along with me very well. We are working on "step-up" together and he's really getting it! I bought him a playpen a couple of days ago and afirst the sight of it freaked him out but now he hapily sits on it, but never plays so much for "play"pen lol he really seems to like disney music (don't ask why i have it).

The only odd thing is his cere. It doesn't seem scaly, it looks dry though like skin, smooth dry skin. Its not drastic and it's not anywhere but his cere but it still a little strange. He seems happy :)

Does Anyone have some advice on how to get him to play with toys? :S He doesn't ever even touch them, i swear he thinks they are going to eat him! lol I meen would u like something bigger than your head?? :eek:

If you look at him from the top he looks like a clown cause he has huudge dark blue circles right my his cheeks

Question is does he know what they are for? Why don't you try to show him that he has nothing to be scared of, try showing him how to play and use the toys. Tuffy such a cute bird.

thanks! I guess he never really hade toys i bought him from a very trusty petstore i live close to, they hade budgie parents who were theres and they had babies so i bought one after it was older. I bought him from this like glass tank thing with soft grass stuff and branches and i couple ground toys but there was like 7 budgies in it so he never really used toys

Have you ever thought of getting him a friend maybe thats all he needs another Budgie that he can play with, and thats when maybe he will open up. Maybe since you only had him for 3 to 4 weeks he still isn't used to his surroundings, but he will soon come around and become curious.

Tuffy is such a cutie and I love his colors :)

It's also a good idea to switch up the toys placement in the cage so this gets him interested. My budgies love toys with little bells in them.

If you really want 100% attention from him, I would'nt get another Budgie. If you like him just the way he is and you give him the attention he needs, I would say don't get another Budgie. you might lose some bond with him.

Are the three pictures you posted all of the same bird? If so, what a difference in colouring between the pictures. Nice looking bird. About playing with toys, mine started playing with them more when they saw the babies playing with them.

if you want him to love you LOTS i wouldnt get another budgie because billy used to sit on my computer monitor and if i put my head down to type he would jump on my head !!lol ever since i got swizzle he has lost EVERY OUNCE of tame ness!!

Yes they are the same bird but in the 1st to photos they look washed out cause when i trasported them i enhanced it by accitdent :( But he is yellow and blue not white and blue lol
